That’s how I view it too but just to play devils advocate, I think there’s a difference in putting a couple older joints on an album you’re actively recording for versus just having some of your people put together a project of nothing but joints that were on the cutting room floor. Because I don’t think Nas even really put the first one together. I’ll re-post that behind the scenes article about it, but I think his A&R and someone else did most if not all of the choosing of songs and track sequencing on there.
So part 1 is almost like if we had access to his song vault and got tasked with putting a project together out of them. I heard Nas had a lot more involvement in the making of this new one but maybe @Ziggiy knows more

You right, plus there's a voice talkin in the beginning that's not on the Spotify version. And someone in the NASTY thread was saying Jarreau sound diff too, whats going on here lol?
