Damn I've played songs so many times over from this joint. The lyricism, the amount of stories, and sonically its almost as if Kanye executive produced this joint as opposed to Nasir. Off first couple listens thought it was dope but not touching first Lost Tapes. Now I'm not so sure
Just realized DJ Dahi made Loyalty from DAMN and Drug Dealers Anonymous.Feel the same.

Big name Super producers aren't always optimal or Ideal for Nas imo. Nas had "Popular Thug" ft. Kelis and "Mocking Bird" they weren't great.Definitely feels like a more cohesive project than LT1.
This album certainly grows on you for certain... and in essence, is the foundation of a superb project (you really have to give it several spins to immerse yourself in the content; there's so much depth and entendre's to unravel - it's truly a sonic treasure map... and each time you play it, you're deciphering the pathway to more gold).
I haven't felt this way about an album in a long fukkin' time.
Gorgeous.
This might be Nas's most well produced album since... it's predecessor.
Nas should only release Lost Tapes albums. lol.
.
Some of the rhyming reminds me of Distant Relatives vibes too.War Against Love sounds like a mix between Untitled and Distant Relatives eras, I love it
This is a top 5 Nas project and probably more solid to me in today's time in comparison to life is good which was banger after banger after banger minus the swizz chamber
It's not a top 5 Nas project. Illmatic, IWW, Still, LT1, LIG are all clearly better.
U DO realize ur in the minority that feels this way right? The problem isnt Nas fam.
Sat with it once so cant really say much but so far so good but kinda bummed we didnt get tracks left of It Was Written
