Nas really got 5 classics. Name which other rapper that got 5 classic rap albums. Honestly.

So you're saying Kanye's discography is better than Ice Cube's :russ:

This sounds like a trap

:lolbron:

Nah, but I'm not really a Cube fan.

Kanye changed the game up, though (mainstream status); plus added high fashion, MBDTF/Watch the Throne, and a general acceptance of masculine ego to the equation.

I don't agree with most of Kanye after he shacked up with Kim K (because WTT was supposed to be the revolution), but at the same time you can't dismiss what that man did for mainstream hip-hop.

how did Kanye change the game? Cube was going platinum in 1990(yes 1990) with no radio play, videos, or singles. Think about that for a moment. I know you younger guys are used to hip hop in the mainstream and on the grammys, but this album dropped at a time when only 2 rap grammys had ever been given out(Jazzy Jeff/Fresh Prince and Young MC) and the only time to hear rap in most areas was on college radio late night saturdays. If going platinum with no radio/video in a time when it was rare to even see a rapper in a movie isn't a game changer, then I don't know what is. Then he released ANOTHER project the same year 8 years before DMX did it.

yall just throwing out albums now. Walking with a Panther almost ruined LL's career haha. Had he not got with Marley(the hottest hip hop producer at the time) LL would have been done. GOAT, no haha. I'll give you Mr Smith cuz that really was a dope album

He's the highest selling Emcee of all time. We're not doing this, I don't argue subjectivity, numbers don't lie. But the opinion that Em has 0 classic albums is just bait at this point.
Sales don't matter.
But if you're a numbers guy than your classics are Eminem, Hammer, Nelly etc.

Yo..
:dahell:
Do you have a Note with all these user names or did you actually at these manually? In both cases:
:dahell:
Only the first twenty actually work and show up as an alert.
@Majestic you need to spread that over multiple posts.
Also, many of them aren't underlined which I think means they aren't going to result in a notification either.

You're crediting Kanye with ushering in the general acceptance of masculine ego?

Nas aint got 5 classics. Neither him or Jay got 5 classics. No way!!! I'll tell you who does have 5 classics

Dre - SOC, 100 Miles and Running, NFL, Chronic, Chronic 2001
Cube - SOC, AMW, KAW, DC, Predator
Common - Ressurection, One day it;ll all make sense, LWFC, BE, The Dreamer , the Believer

Eric B/Rakim and EPMD got 4 classics as their first 4 albums were flawless.

and that's just off the top of my head.

He wasn't the first rapper to go Platinum.

What did Kanye represent before marrying Kim K? A super talented producer/rapper that could get away with many things because he was so grand. His obnoxious character always had the green light to show out.

And like Jeezy said, "Errtime I go out, you know I gotta show out."

What does a man like more than to shine? (I mean p*ssy, yeah, but that typically comes with shine.)
