Nas really got 5 classics. Name which other rapper that got 5 classic rap albums. Honestly.

Get down
Made you look
Last real nikka alive
Book of rhymes
Thugz mansion
Mastermind
Revolutionary warfare
Dance
Heaven

All make God's son a classic. If y'all calling life after death and all eyez on me classics despite both albums having an abnormal amount of fillers then God's son is classic even its got a average songs on it. Give nas the respect he deserves.
i love this album but it did not make much of an impact on hip hop.

Thugz Mansion has aged badly for me along with Revolutionary Warfare.

Nas got 4 to me

Illmatic- self-explanatory
IWW- Nas is coming is the only song that wouldnt call amazing.
Lost Tapes- its at least a classic within Die Hard hip hop fans. Every song besides everybody crazy was amazing
Stillmatic- i have the copy without bravehearts party

Gods son was great but I wouldn't label it a classic. HHID and Untitled productions weren't up to par. I enjoyed I Am over HHID to be honest

What was wrong with hhid production? I thought it had some of its best production

Exactly. A classic album should meet certain criteria. Two big ones for me:

-perfect or nearly perfect
-influenced the genre or music

God's Son is an inconsistent album that was met with mixed reception. Those are facts. There are multiple questionable beats and songs on there. If God's Son is classic your criteria for classic is too low...

Stillmatic is dope but the only reason people claim it's classic is due to stan wars. I know because I used to argue it was classic at school while endlessly debating Hov stans. But come on. The Blueprint is a classic with no bad songs, clearly influenced the genre and had an impact. Stillmatic was a return to form for Nas and a comeback but that speaks moreso to how weak his previous album was.

God's Son is a 3/5 type album. I'll give it a 3.5 since I'm a stan. Stillmatic is a 4/5 or 4.5/5

God sone had great reviews when it was out

There's tracks in the last 5 that either don't fit or there forgettable/wack. There's tracks in some parts of the album that just don't cut it no more. Not saying it's bad just saying that it isn't a classic.

The flyest, rule, my country, poison are all dope

Pac def has 4 and some can argue R U Still down Remember Me is a classic. But def Me Against The World, ThugLife Vol 1, All Eyez OnMe, Makaveli,
R U Still Down is not a classic. That album was disappointing in real time.

Thug Life wasn't a classic either.

There isn't an argument for God's Son being a classic album. If it's your personal classic that's cool but come on. It has a couple classic Nas songs but overall is just a good album. Didn't impact the genre, isn't perfect or nearly perfect...

Illmatic, IWW, Lost Tapes. Having 3 classics isn't anything to be ashamed of lol. Most great rappers don't even have two.
Agree about GS. Stillmatic meets that criteria though. Depending on what exactly you mean by "nearly" :prodigylol:
