Classic should be objective consensus.
Of course, that's based on perception which has a degree of subjectivity.
Below The Heavens definitely had an impact.
Nas got 3 pure classics but it is funny when you think about it though..It Was Written wasn't unanimously revered and it now gets deserved classic status and Stillmatic is helped to classic status because what surrounded it as well as the music which has some of Nad best songs on there.
and then if you speak about Hov, i'd say Vol.2 and The Black Album aren't outright classics for the music but for how Vol.2 impacted his career and the way people and his peers responded to it and The Black Album really felt like an event then you have to give them the classic status..then theres Vol.1, which to me should get that retrospective classic status in the same form of fashion It Was Written gets now but will never manage to make it into that classic discussion with Jays albums.
now i think about it, Jay might really be the rapper that ends up with the 5 classics tag.

God's Son and LIG are great albums that can be easily considered as personal classics by some people.
I Am..., Nastradamus, SD, HHID and Untitled are definitely not classics and i'm a huge fan of Untitled.
