I think Nas was serious bout it. And I'm here for Nas/Preemo but Premier just gave Nas one of his most generic beats and Nas still smoked it. So it's not really Nas I'm worried about here. I was never one of those "Nas should work with so and so.." type dudes. I'm just saying Premo need a fire lit under his ass to make sure he don't serve Nas no lazy shyt.

Even that little Hip Hop 50 EP from a few years ago, Preme had some quality beats on there. The Joey Badass and Slick Rick tracks specifically would be perfect for this project. For real Premier just need to be decent by his standards and this project will be dope. Reinvigorated Nas will take care of the rest.

Don't even understand why it got to be a competition at this point, these all legends 50 and up with nothing left to prove, just be happy they still here and doing their thing.

Nas trying to bring that casino to Queens and he's working on a Beat Street project for Broadway. I doubt we get that album this year and I'm not mad at it.. They need to take their time on it.

No... we've waited for Nas and Premo for almost 2 decades at this point. It definitely has to be better than the 2 surprise classics with Hit. They gotta deliver if they drop.

Nas is a great artist... so the pressure is great...

Common is a great artist too. I didn't hear no one say the pete rock joint better be better than for water like chocolate. And it's not like his previous couple of albums were dope too.

Yeah Nas seems busy with other non-album projects currently so I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't even started yet. They should def take their time though, make it as good as possible. Not mad if it comes out next year, especially since Nas dropped so many albums every year since 2018.

And yes Preme is somewhat past his prime but I still think he knows how high expectations are. And I also think he's been waiting for this too for a long time. There's no way he doesn't bring at least SOME heat. Define My Name isn't his best beat but it's still a dope song, a grower. So even if the album isn't a 5/5 classic I'm sure it will still be dope. I'm not overthinking it and expecting a good album either way.

I got hope that premo brings out his best stuff in a minute. He knows it isn’t gonna be some one off so a lot more thought will go into it. Looking forward to it :ahh:

Everybody loved the first PRhyme album, and One of the Best Yet had great production. Premier got no credit for taking a bunch of old Guru verses and making a cohesive, entertaining project out of them. It was literally a Gang Starr album in 2019. If he was able to pull that off, I have no doubt he'll be able to lock in with the greatest MC of all-time and make something great.

Good point, 'One Of The Best Yet' was 🔥 🔥 🔥 w/o sounding dated.

I know Premier said that if he isn't working on a project or a track, he's not working at all. I don't know if that's always been the case, but maybe he just doesn't see the point in working for the sake of it like Dre does.

You can definitely tell he doesn't work on music regularly anymore. But he's said so too though.

Primo's in my Top 2, so these tracks he's thrown out recently let me down crazy, lol. I like when I hear Tip and Pete saying they never stopped record shopping and diggin, and speaking on how they still work on music daily. They never lost the spirit. I think it shows in the quality of their new tracks too. Someone on here made a thread saying Primo ain't been the same since Guru passed. I never thought about it, but it's true. That's when the falloff happened.
