Life Is Good is more mature grown music for me when it’s from Nas. This one felt like a step back which is my main issue with it. Mature Nas is Stay or Bye Baby or even the last portion of Gods Son. This one just didn’t feel right to me. That and his flow feels off as hell, which is my number one issue lol. Nas not being able to find a pocket is like the sun not shining every morning.

But if you messed with it and it still rocks then that’s good. Always happy when art is enjoyed by someone even if it’s not me.

I think Nasir will grow on some fans. I think people always want to hear Nasty Nas and so whenever we don't get that we are gonna feel some type of way. Then, after LIG, there were people who wanted to hear some more real grown up stuff. I did. Nasir was a little bit of everything. Maybe not as focused as LIG and LIG is a tough act to follow. I am ok with Nasir. I don't think we are going to get too much more Nasty Nas or even Escobar season Nas. We will be getting a more worldly Nas with an occasional flash into the those younger personas. This is why I push for Sony to release those lost Lost Tapes though. That's the Nasty Nas ans the Esco that I want to hear.

a Nas + Kanye album was my dream since I heard Blueprint

it was destined to disappoint

obviously it could've been better, but I still think it's way underrated.... I like the raw, unpolished work, and Nas as always is dropping knowledge

but I every single time skip Cops Shot the Kid

I would like Cops shot the Kid better if they hadn’t played the voice loop throughout the whole song and if Kanye would’ve bop spot on it. He has a good verse but I prefer Nas without features. Not to mention Kanye is a Trump supporter and a Trump is all for cops fukking up nikkas.

I am in the camp that appreciates NASIR and believes that it was a good EP. I think some would agree that if NASIR had just 2 of your typical Nas bangers on there, people would be praising it.
