Really!!?? You sure you not confusing that with CL
Smooth?

Also both Pete Rock and Carmen confirmed that never happened

I know CL told him "make my beats fakkit".

I can't find shyt about Nas calling him a fakkit now, but I'm sure I heard that shyt way back. I do smoke weed tho :yeshrug:

Finally got to listen to it. :ahh: Not For Radio, Bonjour, everything, and Simple Things were the standouts so far, gonna listen again on the way home.

I like the short album route. For example, Street’s Disciple would’ve benefitted greatly if some songs were cut (still my GOAT double album).
Listened again. Loving White Label and Adam and Eve. I was excited to hear the Slick Rick sample on Cops Shot The Kid because how can that go wrong? The message and lyrics were there, but the sample repeating constantly throughout the song was a bit much. :yeshrug: Still a great album, hopefully a “leftovers” album is set for release with the non-Kanye tracks.

To Pete and Large it seemed Illmatic is also a gift and a curse for them whereas it feels they are still tryna re catch a moment and when it doesn't stick blame Nas..
How do we know that it doesn’t stick tho? :jbhmm:

Nas hasn’t dropped any songs with their production on his albums in years.

I know Pete Rock has been acting like a hoe toward Nas after IWW but let’s not act like he couldn’t have used some of P.R.’s production in the late 90’s

The last songs they produced for Nas were classics and then there were no more songs together

Nas has a whole album that he's gonna release fam. This is just a Def Jam fulfillment project and something to gain exposure before he moves forward with his own label. Lol

Like I said fam. fukk a review. It's just gonna piss u off. Lol. Nas' albums historically review badly.

I’m going to enjoy the album regardless but its all things Nasir and i’m interested to see the consensus amongst the so called “professionals”.

The only thing thats got me kind of tight is the kelis bullshyt. Nas spoke on the marriage already SIX YEARS ago. Theres not much to even say except “shes lying”. And honestly this ISN’T the time to give that kind of shyt shine while he’s taking her to court fighting for his right to see his son.

Fam. Nas couldve gotten this beat right here from Pete Rock. And nikkas still would've complained.

And by the way. Late 90s Nas was most of The Lost Tapes.

Nas don’t want no Pete Rock beats because he simply DON’T WANT NO Pete Rock beats! Its that simple.

Maybe pete rock shoulda kept his mouth shut about IWW.

Maybe Nas didn’t want to pigeonhole himself

Whatever the reason it is what it is. Nas career didn’t suffer from not using no PR beats the past 24 years

Same nikkas complaining about him not making Illmatic Part 2 didnt even BUY the first fukkin Illmatic. nikkas ain't support him wit they pockets. And he got snubbed by the very same magazine that gave him his 5 mics. Nas ain't EVER doin what these bums want him to do again. He has a thriving career right now cause he said fukk em.
