Fam. Nas couldve gotten this beat right here from Pete Rock. And nikkas still would've complained.
And by the way. Late 90s Nas was most of The Lost Tapes.
Nas’ career didn’t “suffer” from not using beats from the O.G. producers but they sure as hell helpedNas don’t want no Pete Rock beats because he simply DON’T WANT NO Pete Rock beats! Its that simple.
Maybe pete rock shoulda kept his mouth shut about IWW.
Maybe Nas didn’t want to pigeonhole himself
Whatever the reason it is what it is. Nas career didn’t suffer from not using no PR beats the past 24 years
Someone, somewhere would still be mad. This beat is the shyt.. it comes on Sirius radio here and there.
This should be what Nas rapping to..

After sitting with the album more I realized that it's the slow time signature on almost all the songs. I initially thought Not for Radio in some small parts he was off beat, then I realized something else. We usually don't get a lot of slow songs from Nas and I noticed damn near every track is pretty slow and laid back, perfect cruising music.where is Nas off beat on this album again?
If he is, it's barely noticable
I Am did have those tracks. nikkas got thirsty and bootlegged the album so bad he had to switch it up. It's how Nas Is Like got on the album. Honestly its only bout 3 beats that I didnt fukk wit on the retail version. And I'm one of the people who had the bootleg with all the fire on it. All I can say is maybe his official album that's coming soon might be more ur speed. Its supposed to have Pete Rock and Large Pro on it but who knows now since they been actin like bytches.Yeah but a lot of those classic songs on the Lost Tapes and the other unreleased classics got replace with some trash and mediocrity.

People acting like working with Large Pro, Primo and them has to be illmatic 2 when it doesn’t. It coulda been something new
^^^^ @NoHalfWay @L. Deezy @Ziggiy @IllmaticDelta. See what I mean? Lol.Glad he didn't get that beat

The general speed/bpm of these tracks resemble this song to me,
Can't expect a rapid flow over these types beats, and if you do get it, not for long.
Adam and Eve is the only song that's pretty steady which is why I think everyone gravitated towards it, the bpm is closer to is natrual flow / cadence speed and he's in his bag.
Honestly not mad at any of this, I like the 7 track album experiement, got Nas to try something a lil different but still recognizable to the core.
Even so, I still can't help but feel this is the appetizer, 6 years has passed and too much recording has went by to be scrapped for this project. He's hopefully out of the Def Jam contract by now and free to do what he wants with that Nas Album Done material as well as Lost Tapes 2.
Per usual, a lot of these dudes start off their post with “I’m a huge Nas fan..”, right before they begin to scathingly shyt on him & everything he does. I see right through these clowns.
