It seems that HitBoy doesn’t have as tough skin as Nas does when it comes to critics n shyt. I wonder how that’s gonna effect the music. He gonna learn soon enough what it feels like to ride wit Nas as the critics and even Nas’ own fans can be Nas’ worst enemy. And anyone around him who ain’t the Illmatic producers can get it.

Nas used to it though. Been dealing with it nonstop since 1996. Hit-Boy only been dealing with it since he started working with Nas

Yea I know. I’m pretty sure Nas warned him. U gotta have tough skin working with Nas. Anyone who says Nas isn’t the most critiqued rapper is insane. His producers would probably love to have a word with y’all.

Hit-Boy won a Grammy with Nas and in every interview he’s done on his “Producer Of The Year” campaign almost every question revolves around the work he’s done with Nas.

I highly doubt he’s going to be adversely effected by any criticism. If anything it seems like he’s utilizing it as fuel. He was inspired by MINOR criticism of KD2 to feed Nas beats on Magic that evoke the early Nasty Nas era that the trapped in the 90’s nikkas been begging for.

Hit Boy is young, so clapping back via social media and the like is part of his generation. I wouldn’t put too much stock in it effecting his work with Nas. The benefits FAR outweigh the cons

As much as I love Magic I hope they stick with the more modern diverse sound for KD3. They hit it out the park with KD2. I feel like KD2 might be one of Nas greatest albums.

I love that they got that late 90s sound for Magic, but I like that it’s it’s own thing. And yeah I would love a Magic 2. I just hope for KD3 Hit-boy doesn’t think that old style is the only sound that fans want from Nas.

I love the diversity of the KD albums. I love 40 side, No Phony Love and Brunch On Sundays.

so.... yo the more i think about it..... the more I think
Joe Black is a response to Freddie Gibbs.

Run me the keys, run me the Bs, run me that flow back (nas is hiting a rapid fire flow that gibbs normally uses)
Your top three, I'm not number one, how could you post that? (Gibbs was throwing shade at Nas saying he wasnt the goat on twitter.)
I wear the crown, the city is mine, you cannot hold that (gibbs was doing interviews saying he is gunning for Nas & that Nas cant rap better than him in 2021.)
I'm not the one to go at, you fukk around, meet Joe Black (definitely giving a warning for any one who dares violate.)
Run me the keys, run me the Bs, run me that flow back (What I'm sayin')
Your top three, I'm not number one, how could you post that? (Uh)
I wear the crown, the city is mine, you cannot hold that (Yeah)
I'm not the one to go at, you fukk around, meet Joe Black (meet death/ grim reaper)

i know Im reaching but.... here is Gibbs running his mouth about Nas. :ahh:

Nas took it easy on the collabo they dropped last year so gibb's was feeling maybe he at Nas neck now barwise. :mjlol:

Gibbs also tried to body the "YOUR THE Man" beat. :ohhh:

Freddie Gibbs Admits Grammy Loss to Nas Inspired Latest Single

Gibbs did a whole PR campaign lightly going at NaS neck... respectfully enough to not get ethered but real enough for Nas to drop Meet Joe Black.:dame:
Freddie Gibbs flips Nas classic for new track 'Big Boss Rabbit'

What do y'all think? :sas1:

Nas giving Gibbs multiple chin checks on Joe Black in my mind at least.

Damn Hit-Boy lacing Game with some fire!!

Save them joints for KD3 lol

Save them joints for KD3 lol

This sounds crazy![/QUOTE]

Hit-Boy has already stated that he makes beats ESPECIALLY for Nas. He doesn’t make random beats so this wouldn’t be a beat that would have to be “saved” for KD3.

The Game has ALWAYS had fire production across all of his albums. It won’t change now

I wouldn’t be surprised but I took it as a chin check to the industry at large. Too many people been making flimsy cases for Hov as the GOAT throughout the years. Even the recent lists by T.I., Ebro, and Flex have Nas under artists that don’t have as much rightful claim as him (T.I. had him at 8 under Eminem, Drake, Kanye, and Snoop:gucci:) Flex had him at 3 under Jay and Andre 3000:comeon:) and Ebro had him at 3 behind Hov and Big.

I think Nas just reminding everyone who the Prophet is

not sure if that specific line at Gibbs but defo some friendly competition going on or at least Gibbs wants there to be. Gibbs 100% going at Nas doing the You're Da Man beat just after losing the Grammy and saying

Freddie Krueger, P-90 Ruger, I'm keepin' on 'em (Yeah)
nikkas say they ain't losin' sleep, tell 'em, "I'm sleepin' on 'em" (bytch)

Nas said no rappers keeping him awake at night in an interview.

I can imagine Nas may do some subs, but also he probably feels Gibbs beneath his level
