Nas not winning multiple awards for the work he did last year tells me everything I need to know about the industry. Nobody is rapping better than Nas right now.
I agree but one thing that I do like about how the XXL awards did it was everybody that had a vote they showed their name and faces.. It was basically all industry vets from all over. I don't agree with the outcome but I liked that they did that.

Me personally I would’ve rathered the props from XXL than the Grammys actually.

Winning a Grammy equals an automatic sales boast. As soon as Kings Disease was announced as the winner of best Rap Album it shot back to number 1 on Apple Music. Yes we as fans shouldn’t care about sales because they don’t equal quality BUT from a purely business mindset with Nas being independent AND in the business of selling portions of his catalogue, a Grammy win and sales boast is only a good thing.

Tyler or Cole winning over Nas I dont really have a problem with as long as people see Nas was probably still top 5 for 2021

Speaking of all this chatter about Nas producers and who he should or shouldnt work with, Salaam Remi's interview on Mad Skillz podcast was amazing and the part talking about the stuff he did for Life is Good. DIdnt know Nasty inspired Otis given how close they both came out that summer (So Salaam claims) and the story about how Heavy D heard Nasty and send the skeleton of the beat for the don and he passed a few weeks later.

He kinda encapsulates why I think him and Salaam had a chemistry. Its kinda stupid how people think he gave him wack beats.
