Dudes think we complaining just to complain when there is a clear bias and hatred toward Nas.
Exactly maybe now they see Nas own manager going at them they can shut up with their holier than thou attitude, whether we like it or not these trash reviews do help build up a false narrative.

Its just a different time and we’re lucky we’re hip to their bullshyt, no one can tell me Nas didn’t suffer from unfair critique that directly impacted his career in the late 90’s and early to mid 00’s, it’s people like this who help build false perceptions like a ss can’t pick good beats, even if not them directly, it’s a collective effort.

FeeFo never learns :russ:

He'll always say some wild shyt (in this case Magic was "ok and he didn't need it") first and then spend the next half hour backtracking it because everybody else disagrees with him :whoa:

Beezy called him out on it too, "we don't have NEED anything but I'll always accept good music....and you wouldn't be saying this if it was Jay "
I dont even know why they let Feefo kick off the review. He's been doing that for yrs. I dont agree with him most of the time. I respect everybody else's opinion on there honestly.

I would respect it if he stuck with it, but 9 times out of 10 if you compare his first remarks with his last he'll have done a damn near 180 (for the albums that the rest of the group will disagree on).

So Cal
I imagine that's the first thing they would've talked about.

I wonder why Kanye has so much more animosity for Big Sean compared to Hit-Boy.

Sean explained it on Drink Champs. Of course it involves Drake. Ye wanted to be on "Blessings" last minute after the record was done and Sean was literally days from submitting the album. Ye told Sean "I need to be on this". Sean reluctantly allowed it and helped Ye write his verse, but something happened so they couldn't get it on the album in time, and Ye's been funny style with Sean since

Mostly positive review. He gave it a 7/10 which for him is still pretty good (He gave KD 1 the same and liked it and gave KD 8/10 and was one his favorites of last year and was on his year end list)
For those who dont want a click, he said he prefers KD 1 and KD 2 as albums with themes/concepts/themes but he appreciates this as a meat and potatoes tape and says Nas actually sounds in his 20s and Hit Boy is great. Only knock he has is maybe there was one or two tracks (Wu for the Children) that were too mild compared to the rest of the album being uptempo and he kinda wished Wu for the Children was about coming up with Wu Tang (like Death Row East). Hes looking forward to KD 3 and is on his most anticpated for 2022
Proof that some CaCs dont have do too much internalizing when reviewing music

Exactly how I feel although I think Magic is slightly better than KD1, songs like Car #85, Ultra Black, 10 Points, and The Cure are what set Nas apart from the rest of his peers and truly make him the GOAT. Nas in my opinion is the most well-rounded MC ever. He can approach so many subject matters from such a unique point of view, mix that with the poetry of his writing and thats why he’s the GOAT. ONLY Nas can pull off something like I Can, Rewind, Book Of Rhymes, Who Killed It, etc. and it comes off natural and not forced or gimmicky.

I know Anthony the music nerd usually doesn't give super high scores but like you said a 7 in his book is HIGH praise (although objectively Magic doesn’t deserve anything less than an 8) i’ll actually give his review a watch since he usually does pretty decent break downs of bis opinion.

That's not going to stop them though. They got the desired effect. That's extra traffic to the site to see why exactly he made the post. This is over 20 years of them doing this. I would hope Ant does buy Pitchfork and bankrupt it, but until something like that happens, they are still going to do this. Like I posted, they dragged Nas even when they gave him glowing reviews.

And yes reviews had more impact on Nas's career in the 90's and '00's. I still remember XXL and Vibe giving Street's Disciple 3.5/5 MONTHS before ANYONE had heard it. By the time the album dropped, some of those songs were cut. These same entities dismissed I Am and Nastradamus. They even talked smack about Stillmatic. XXL went back and re-rated every Nas album and still didn't give Stillmatic a XXL. The whole narrative started in the 90's and I remember vividly how Elliott Wilson and Bonsu Thompson took shots at Nas during the beef. Writers at Vibe took shots at Nas too criticizing his jewelry, his wedding, his personal life in general.

So your one of those armchair A&R’s that think they know better for Nas career than Nas. Gotcha

And you're one of those Anthony Saleh copycats that think you're Nas' right hand man because you write 4 page long paragraphs about Nas on the Coli when he doesn't even know who you are. Gotcha

And I'm a huge Nas fan, so it makes this conversation 100x funnier :mjlol:

Hey I’m completely happy with championing the GOAT and getting not one but TWO incredible albums from him in the same year while you, as a supposed “fan” are miserable because he had the AUDACITY to drop a project without your approval of a proper release window.

I’ma probably write four more pages of material before its all said and done so just put me on ignore if it bothers you.

I hope Esco and his team decide to release vinyls for purchase soon. The replay value on Magic is crazy, I end up running songs back 2-3 times before letting the next track play.
