Listening to Ugly now, & I’ve been trying to put my finger on what it reminds me of… & it struck me that shyt would sound right at home on Madvillainy. I can imagine DOOM & Nasir together on that track.

Yep. It also reminds me of a little bit of the way Dilla chopped on Don't Cry. There's a ton of little chops in Ugly. The chops almost serve as little percussions too, and a groove to nod your head too. I also get some similar vibes with Ugly as I do 360 Waves here. Like, there's no loud drums in 360 Waves or Don't Cry or Ugly, but you can really nod your head with all 3.

My guy. I been around since the All Hip Hop and Sohh. There was alot of fans but there was also a nice section of nikkas who used to shyt on everything he did. Even down to making fun of his dead mother. Some of these nikkas linger from those sites. But another thing. Not everyone gotta like Nas. But don’t jump in threads trolling or making like Nas fans buggin for liking some shyt all cause u don’t like the nikka. shyt is wack.

I get where you’re coming from. Madlib and Alchemist are my favorite producers but I critique and throw my feedback out there regarding them all the time. It’s just fun shop talk. I still love their work. Same with hit-boy.

I’m not seeing hit-boy hate in here. It’s all love.
