He hit the nail on the head.. I was halfway joking a few months back and y'all killed me for it. I said Nas is doing everything up there but sweeping the floors LOL There's a huge underground movement right now with rappers that already have a mini fanbase and these same rappers probably worship Nas.. I'll like Mass Appeal to tap into that market but it's not on Nas to find these people. They need a music head up there that's really connected with the scene.Listening to the JB podcast. They loving the album, they loved the other 2 KD albums too.
Budden also theorizes that the reason you're seeing Nas in this zone is on his own label and hes free of political BS.
Also thinks that Mass Appeal itself is just as much an investment as any tech business and this is him putting value into it by releasing these quality albums
