So when Nas took risks they said he should go back to the basics, but now that he’s releasing dope shyt with a hot producer it’s too “safe” lol? He can’t win.
:gucci:

He could release a Premo album right now and they’d say it’s not as hard as Nas Is Like, or some other song.

shyt is comical at this point. Wonder what "risks" they wanna see him take

What's the Playlist look like if you took the best 15 tracks from these 3 albums?

No need, just play them all straight through and the shyt rides. I had kind of got it in my head that KD1 was a solid notch below the others, but I listened again and I was wrong. I like 2 and Magic better overall, but I still like 1.

Madlib is a great producer but I don't see him being more versatile that Hitboy.
Eh, like somebody else said Hit Boy is a jack of all trades, master of none type. As good as the production on all these albums is I think the only beats that have truly blown me away are Store Run, Moments, The Truth, and Count Me In - and even on those beats, I feel like they could use a little more juice.

get his dikk out your mouth

madlib and nas would be a great duo

nas ear for beats sucked for years 3 recent safe albums doesnt change that

fukk you and Madlib lol Nas don’t need no Madlib, he’s produced more classic albums than Madlib ever had, leave him for Freddie Gibbs and he’s corny raps.

Cool. That's your opinion, but I disagree and all I see is people going crazy over Hit's beats on Magic.

Most over criticized rapper of all time, bar none. It's almost unfair if you ask me

It’s backhanded shyt. This is what I be saying. In what way are these shyts safe? It’s just a new buzzword to downplay Nas. And even Hit Boy as a producer. I didn’t even agree with Parks when he said Hit Boy’s production on Magic is less “safe” than his last 2. To me that’s false. His production is more straight forward on this one than especially KD2. Anyone that can listen to Rare and think that’s some “safe” shyt is on some other shyt in my book.
Wait a minute they called the album Safe??

Yea thats a new buzz word for Nas. None of those albums are safe. Just great bodies of work. That's all that needs to be said.

There are two drum-less beats on the album and some different sounds for Nas, like the reverse reverb shyt on Speechless. Its not “left” but then again how much rap production is left these days? I’m thinking like…Moor Mother shyt for instance. Safe would be an album full of 808s and trap drums like everyone else.

It’s dope. Doesn’t need to be some daring shyt to be dope…and more importantly I think the production is advancing with each album. He’s not stagnant. If anything he’s adding a nice spin on older production styles with newer shyt. Rare from KD2 is a perfect example in the way it morphs into a trap beat, from the older school shyt at the beginning. It’s dope…

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..

Premo is an example of how these elder statesmen in Hip Hop SHOULD be moving. No hate. No jealousy. No “WHY NOT ME?!?!” mentality. Just showing love and respect.

U can’t tell by his YouTube series he’s VERY humble and quick to give credit and props.

I refuse to Listen to the Critics. Listen to the Artists, Listen to the Project. Listen to how excited Nas and Hit-Boy are with these 3 Albums. When Nas is gone, we WILL Miss him so Appreciate his Art in the moment.:salute:
