loved this.

I don't want to quite say it yet, but it might be my favorite rapping performance from Nas in a long time.
the difference between him on KD2 and this is kind of funny. KD2 he was in his relaxed, happy, old man/uncle bag this, he even sounded his age but not in a bad way, on this he's sounds so.. out to prove a point.

I liked him shytting on his fans but only a few bars later he had the worst line of the year with that "me, Jay, Frank White is like Cole, Drizzy and Kenny"
he tried to ruin Christmas with that line. just awful. speaking of awful;

Wave Gods is a terrible song.. apologies to Max B and Guru.
and I already know people are going to do that thing with Rocky that they do when "trap rappers" work with someone more respected for their artistry.

Dedicated is how you close an album.

Lupe loved KD2 just because he wasn't crazy about this doesn't mean he's a clown.

Lupe loved KD2 just because he wasn't crazy about this doesn't mean he's a clown.

To clarify, he may not be a clown but it was a clownish statement to make. Essentially, he felt it was Nas stealing Cole's flow. Lupe was even shaking his head, almost in disgust. This coming from the guy who sounded like Jay (as he admits) for most of his early work and has flowed like Nas as well. To suggest that Nas on "The Truth" sounds like J. Cole (a Nas off-spring) is utterly ridiculous.

That's like G Rap or Ra dropping an album in the mid 90s and someone saying "Nah he sounds like Nas". It's a clownish statement and he was giving off clownish vibes in the stream last night.

Lupe isn't excempt from ridicule when warranted, regardless of his talent level. I couldn't care any less whether he likes or dislikes the album as the album is undeniable and the consensus is that it's incredibly dope.

As much as Hit Boy and Nas have this incredible run going, i got the feeling that MOST OF US would react and go crazy for a Nas and Preemo album. And we would say it beats all of Hit Boy and Nas's albums. Yall would be in denial but if that ever came to fruition, most of us would switch up REAL QUICK. There are some producers that no matter how good the producer of the TIME is, will always HOLD MORE WEIGHT at ANY TIME :sas2:

not really

a lot of people didn't even like the last Gangstarr album production wise.

:patrice:don't get me wrong, it would be great and i still wanna hear it :usure:

but Hit-Boy laced the fukk outta these last three projects, using various styles.

most importantly, he mostly stuck to boom-bap and nailed it. i think the energy of the production and their chemistry brought new life to Nas.

Preemo is the man in any era, but he'd have to come with with it to fukk with HB right now :manny:

I honestly don't even really count that album. Guru not being alive plus Premo having limited access to Guru material= what we got:francis:. Still had a couple of joints on there:yeshrug:
I mentioned it becr people shyt on his production on there then say he is in demand.

You can't please the stuck in the 90's mindset
