I think a lot of people are saying they like this better than KD1 & 2 because these are finally the beats old school nas fans wanted him to rap over
No doubt.

KD1 and 2 were a little more luxurious and lush sounding. Almost glorious/epic celebration of life type music. Magic is way more stripped down, raw beats and raw rhymes. They're both different sounds but I can see why so many people love this.

Yooooooo

There's been a few dons on here mention how they noticed that they used the group home drums for wave God.

This is why I love the coli.... Real heads.. I missed that shyt completely

The moral of the story yo what the fukks going on

Amazing
I'll always kick myself in the ass for not trying to make beats. I gotta be one of the only producer nerds to go ":ohhh: the Living Proof drums" that doesn't actually produce.

Loool I've noticed uve got a crazy detail for production and art.... U ain't always gotta be the guy creating, sometimes just analysing on that level is enough

There's not enuff people like me and u that really deep things on that level... That's enuff.

I think he was more focused on getting his life back in order. Remember the divorce and he was in tax trouble and on the verge of going broke. Now everything's straight for him and he can put all his focus in music

Nas was on the verge of going broke?
Where do y'all be getting this shyt from
Was his assets not listed by tmz during the divorce?
Did the judge not award kelis 55k a month?
Do you understand that it takes MONEY to be an angel investor?
Do you people not understand that owing the irs comes from INCOME generated?
If you owe millions just for missing two years of filing, that also means you MADE millions
Did you not notice how the irs handled his situation differently as opposed to so many other celebrities/rich people?

At worst his situation was a CASH crunch

The most annoying thing about sm is when people say the wrong shyt with super confidence.

From what I see of your posts, you got the insight and ear. Just get a cheap drum machine and mess around with it. I'd bet you would put together stuff and the more you do it, the more you get better. And a lot of dudes is really not doing that much. They'll take a melody or sample already doing the heavy lifting and add drums to it.

It's a great feeling to put together an idea that people feel. It's like painting, you take pieces of sound and match them together with different drums, slow it down, speed it up and manipulate it. It's a rush when you put together something dope.

Besides that, this Nas is tough. He sounds hungry and ripping through those beats. I need to run it back a few times but it sounds great in the car just played it on a road trip. Can't wait to digest it. This probably is the album all the older Nas fans wanted just boom bap dope stuff, only issue is give me 12-15 of these. But very dope project.

ASAP Rocky did get The God Though:lolbron:

After ASAP Rocky verse I was like Nas about to bring it

After Nas verse I was like:francis:

But Yo it happens sometimes, shyt to me Rick Ross got Nas on Accidental Murderers

haha Rocky was floating. He edged it out. It’s not that kind of song though.

I do like how nas closed it out:

Invest in all my G's before we rest in peace
'Cause we sure to rest in peace, my shorty is a piece
A piece of mind, a dimepiece, I might buy her a piece of property
You might've had some joints
But ain't nothin' like me and Rocky seen
