KD1 - 47k first week
KD2 - 56k first week

Sales don’t impact if an album is good or not, but I wonder what Magic will do first week

I am an OG Nas stan and I consider him the GOAT but I am actually shocked he was able to make an album this good.

I’m in the minority but I actually wasn’t really feeling KD 1 and 2 like that. Didn’t like the one he did with Koonye at all. This I can rock with. I already know I’m going to play this a lot for a while.

I listened to this like 3-4 times since last night.

This is like 9.5/10

Can't find nothing wrong with this album except being short but I'll definitely take Magic as a brief pause from KD I & II. Nas has truly outdone himself within 1yr 1/2 period dropping three straight heatseakers.

I think a lot of people are saying they like this better than KD1 & 2 because these are finally the beats old school nas fans wanted him to rap over

i see where u coming from.....

KD1 had a more modern feel, production, features and artistic direction. Which is why pple appreciated him fitting in with the current landscape 27 summers in
KD2 was a balance of modern direction n old school feel hence the LIG/GS/SD/Stillmatic comparisons. It fed fans new and old.
Magic is raw, maybe more of on a Lost Tapes1 vibe, where production amplifies lyrically expressive Nas. Its an Old heads n 90s kids fodder but without a dated feel to it.

Fans who are appreciative of Nas artistic direction in all eras will be ecstatic regardless
