I don't know why people can't accept that hitboy's beats just feel dead. Even his best ones lose some points because the mixing is always so bad. They feel like some 9th wonder barebone throwaways from early 2000.

He came better on this one but still about half the beats are kinda dull. TSK and No Tears are perfect examples. Just incredibly boring and dull synth beats. But Nas stans will call them classics just because they're on a Nas album. Shoulda just hit up metro booming or Travis Scott if he wanted these types of beats. At least Nas finally gave Hitboy his release papers. Time to work with some real heavy hitters now.
You have a skewed perspective going into the listening experience and you are trying to force it on others. That's why we can't accept it.

Dude does original shyt, sampled shyt and everything in between. He doesn't have a type beat. This makes your criticism flawed. You seem to have an issue with post production but you hoping back n forth. From saying he sounds like a throwaway 9th to having dull synths. So you have a problem with his mixer? Not Hit... they used the same mix engineer the whole run. But honestly if you go into any project expecting disappointment you will get it. That's how your mind works. I don't expect anyone that had an issue with Hit and 9th working together to suddenly have a different listening experience this go round. That bias filters into your listening experience. Hence skewed perspective.

Is is safe to say that this run of 6 albums has created more or less the same amount of highlights/bangers/replay value songs than all his previous albums combined?
This is what I'm talking about with y'all :mjlol:

Absolutely nothing on these tapes are fukking with the best shyt from illmatic. Or it was written. Or stillmatic. I'd take either one of those albums by themselves over these 6 albums combined.
