it's true haha. Pretty sure half the people on the Nas reddit are posters here just having the exact same conversations with the same people in two places

Much love to the Nas coalition here. feel sorry for the hardcore Nas fans who ain't aware of the coli and be part of the madness
Mwaha so true, and I see the same profiles on Twitter and even on this discord the "plug" created some time ago.

Maybe there's only a couple hundreds/thousands of us and we're sort of in a parallel world thinking everybody's waiting for that new Nas... Especially with the new Twitter algorithm... You end up only getting in your TL things u've been yourself tweeting or reading about, like a confirmation bias 😅

Lol EVERYBODY who speaks about Ms Ann Jones says she was the sweetest woman. Plus i’m sure she’d rather have Nas in the lab than out on the block with Jungle.

Its crazy that if we’re talking pre-Live At The BBQ then its a 17 year old Large Professor calling a 15 year old Nas to the studio because 20 year old Rakim didn’t make the session and 27 year old Eric B needed to make sure the money didn’t go to waste.

WILD

I know we get info from others who were around and Nas mentions stuff in songs and in interviews (using Ra and Erib B's studio well known). But Nas needs to do an autobiography one day or hit the podcast circuit when he's 60 or something. Nas must have some incredible stories we've just not heard about in detail

Have you listened to The Bridge podcast? There’s some GREAT stories sprinkled throughout the entire series that Nas tells either about some of his personal interactions with the guests or a topic they were speaking on.

Nas was really open throughout the series.

The turnover between KDII and Magic was real quick. Like 4 months? Granted that was during the pandemic. It's been like 7 or 8 months since KDIII so hypothetically could be longer than 30. Not to get too ahead of myself but I wouldn't be surprised if he drops Magic 3 in the winter. He's laser focused in the zone right now. Rare form.

KD4 on the way, this just to feed the buzz. :wow:

Yo if he actually raps that or a version of that then Nas is a fukking alien lmao

I predicted we’ll get two albums this year but for him to just say “fukk it” and announce it twice in a row would be insanity
I kind of hope he doesn't because it felt like a few critics/people were dismissive of Magic from the original line--even though I loved that line. But people tried to act like it wasn't a complete body of work--I remember a few people trying to say it wasn't even an album, it was a mixtape just because of that line!

While we carry on tradition, I'm mind blown that he's turning 50 soon and out rapping and lapping dudes half his age and more...I've been into Hip Hop my whole life (I'm 46) and this has never happened before and IMO will never happen again. I give thanks I'm here to witness it. Nas and Black Thought are the only ones from the last golden age (early to mid 90's) that have actually improved and progressed with age, still releasing quality excellent music, and dropping BARS.

What's even more mind blowing is Nas prophesied this before Illmatic was out. Bobbito interviewed him for a RapPages cover story and Nas said "I'm gonna be up on a chair all day telling mad poems till I get old. Even if I don't have a record deal, and they stop putting records out, and they don't put nothing on the radio and said "fukk rap" and drop me, I'll still be rhyming."

He said that in 94. Come on man

One of few things Ye said recently Nas was ordained to rap. One of few things he's been right about :wow:
