I think The Booth is truly the epicenter of Nas fanbase

it's true haha. Pretty sure half the people on the Nas reddit are posters here just having the exact same conversations with the same people in two places

Much love to the Nas coalition here. feel sorry for the hardcore Nas fans who ain't aware of the coli and be part of the madness

He was also leaking a few lyrics from KD3.

"KD3 goes harder than all of them" and "no beef with rivals they playing Ether on Tidal" were on his reddit a few days before the album came.

My only beef with the 21Savage track is....let Nas street team tell it and Nas and his camp are mad focused on STREAMS. Having an old track, even if remixed, goes, just like ever other Nas move that we pointed out, directly AGAINST this idea that streams are his top priority.

So I don't want to get lectured in here again about how streams work and how Nas fans didn't show up, for a track that we streamed months ago.

Can damn near guarantee that if it's on there, it'll be my least played track. First because it's 21 Savage, second because I simply know it (and am cool with it, don't love it though).

I just brush off the ā€œNas fans donā€™t supportā€ rhetoric because it doesnā€™t apply to ME lol. I buy multiple copies of the album, I buy Merch, I buy physicals, and I buy concert tickets. Thereā€™s not a person on this EARTH who can tell me iā€™m not a cash purchasing supporting fan.

At the end of the day iā€™m not going to stress the 21 track. It was a little jarring to hear it would be included on the album just because of how old it is. I know it was successful when it came to streaming because as soon as it released it IMMEDIATELY shot to number 1 on Apple Music and iTunes, so it was a good move on both Nas and his team to turn the controversy into something positive, which is really the path Nas has been going on since he and Jay-Z made peace nearly 20 years ago.

Only thing I DIDNā€™T like about the track is simply that 21 is just too damn pedestrian of a rapper to hang with Nas. It wasnā€™t even a competitive type of track but Nas rapped CIRCLES around 21 to the point where he just sounds remedial.

People were wilding about the 21 Savage track on Reddit though, going on about how they want all new Nas when they get a Nas album, so crybaby was the proper response. I doubt this song kept other songs off of the album, so it's not like you're getting less new Nas than you would have gotten, they just found a home for that song, probably as a bonus track. It's not my favorite song but I don't think it would be an album-killer by any stretch.

I mean damn, Nas has kept us well fed these last few years and people are whining he found a home for a loosie.
