I do. It don’t even sound like this era Nas. Sound like some shyt that came out the vaults.Who thinks "Slow It Down" is probably the best track on this ?
Damn Man SmhMagic 2 debuts at Number 41 on the charts with 16.5K
Was really hoping he’d do at least Magic 1 numbers but again with no interviews/music videos to push streams it is what it is.
He got MY money and its my album of the year so can’t complain about quality
No way u think Motion is lyrically good
He did a search on Spotify for songs named Black Magic and found it and heard a neat melody.
maybe slow it down in spots, but not consistently. My complaint with the song isn't with Nas lyrics but with Kanye but I'd say Pistols and Slow It Down
I just ran back KD3. That album is incredible man. Lol
Stillmatic is a great but great album. Ain’t shyt flaw about it.Lowkey, Stillmatic is as inconsistent as I Am...the difference is though, the lows are merely "mid" while I Am's lows are straight basura, so the numerous classic songs on Stillmatic carry it to a great but flawed album.
Smokin' and My Country are straight up not good songs, and I've always found What Goes Around to be largely hotep babble. And even Ether and Destroy & Rebuild aren't "great" songs in a vacuum, but elevated by context and the moment. And Rules' a pretty divisive song but I love cheesy earnest shyt like that so I give it a pass...same time though I won't argue with anybody who doesn't fukk with it . But still, the highs are so high that I still think it's a strong 8.5/10 album. I Am's highs are just as high as Stillmatic but the lows are way lower and leaves you with a bad taste in your mouthStillmatic is a great but great album. Ain’t shyt flaw about it.
Smokin is a hood classic. I’m not even gonna entertain the Ether and Destroy and Rebuild argument. What Goes Around is a classic Nas record as well. nikka went crazy on that. Hotep babble?
