Magic 2 debuts at Number 41 on the charts with 16.5K

Was really hoping he’d do at least Magic 1 numbers but again with no interviews/music videos to push streams it is what it is.

He got MY money and its my album of the year so can’t complain about quality

Kinda makes Magic 1 even more impressive it was streaming only numbers for a surprise album on Christmas. They didn’t even release merch and physicals to other until 4 months later for ppl to get another 3 months later

Maybe but I mostly see people saying good not great

They’ll just have to treat the next project not like a tape

But I would wait till next year

Interestingly I’m listening to David Yung Kim spaces and it sounds like this thing was done pretty quick. Didn’t say how long it was recorded but soon as it was done it was quick to mix and master in a couple days.

Unlike Nasir though it seems it was Nas decision to just knock it out and they felt sitting on it would result in overthinking it

Certainly I think his rhyming is better than Nasir even if some feel the content ain’t as strong as the previous I don’t sense struggle flows but I guess this wasn’t recorded on the day like that

This was definitely a heat check project and I think they need to be careful cause they don’t give Nas and his producers a benefit

Everything and Adam and Eve have better rhymes than most of the joints on Magic 2.
