I’m telling you. That song is giving me 30 vibes. Like him performing and the crowd going crazy. I first really felt it in the whip driving… now I’m seeing these clips and it feels like the same way 30 hit me or seeing him perform 30.
It's crazy how I don't like the song as much. But when it's on in the whip I don't skip it.

The main point is none of these 5 albums should be called classic, solid 4.0 mic albums and Nas is aging gracefully and still has the flow. But when you try to hype up solid albums and saying they can compete with classics like Stillmatic, cats need to relax. Nothing more nothing less
that's your opinion some people disagree. I don't think the albums are classic myself Magic KD3 the closet. The point is what rapper in his age bracket that first appeared in 91 dropping albums of this quality? You act like saying albums like KD3 or Magic are so far below albums like LIG it's not true. Both those albums belong in 5-8 range along with LIG

Except for MAGIC, the KD albums are mad personal - just because he doesn't talk about his son a lot doesn't make it otherwise.

KD1 has like 3 songs about his (failed) relationships.

"Pops here, mom gone - wish God reversed the roles, sometimes" --> it doesn't get more personal than this.

Car 85 gives us a direct glimpse into his past. 10 Points is about his wealth but it's his personal view. Ultra Black is personal.

KDII PRESSURE is mad personal, DRE is mad personal, Moments, Nobody, No Phony Love, Brunch, Bible and Nas is Good are all personal songs.

KD3: Thun, Reminisce, Serious Interlude, Once a Man..., First Time and Don't Shoot are all personal songs.

Picking something specific like his son is a bit arbitrary, especially because we all know that there's drama with Kelis everytime Nas mentions Knight anywhere.

Nas used to be one of the most mysterious rappers in the game, until like...Lost Tapes and Gods Son where, and that's why he picked that album cover, he really opened up for the first time. Except for Lost Tapes, GS, Life is Good and maybe Untitled he really doesn't have albums more personal than the KD albums.

We may have a different definition of personal if brunch on Sunday’s is a “personal” track to you…

And simply mentioning a topic doesn’t mean ‘yep, he’s personal’. There’s levels. Some of it is a) he’s already talked about it, or b) his current life simply can’t produce that level of ‘personal’ records. Neither is his fault it just is what it is. ‘It don’t get more personal than that’. Uh, yes it does. Have you never hear of Dance. He can’t recreate that. And again, that ain’t his fault. But to act like that doesn’t factor into how/if the music hits you is a bit weird.

But hey, say less, I can read the room it’s clear every Hit-Nas thead nggas are gon :pacspit::damn:at anything but blanket praise. You got it, these are all 5 mic classics without flaw:ahh::beli:

To me it’s like sports. An athlete always gonna be usually at their peak 20 to 30 or so. There’s always downhill slope but most get completely washed by time they’re close to retirement like most rappers.

Nas like Messi, Brady, Nadal. May not be at absolute peak but they still doing incredible seasons/ albums. And in hip hop that’s unprecedented given how long Nas been around.

Messi never will have a season like 2012 again. Nas never gonna be 1996 Nas again. But both can still compete and be at the top past their prime cos they’re that good

Project is alright don’t know if it’ll too much rotation though, need some new creative direction going forwards. Still a legendary thing to do 5 albums in 3 years with one producer but feels like Hit-boy rushed this while Nas can spit elite in his sleep. At the same time I think they’re just having fun at this point

You trying to make a point about his music not hitting with emotion by comparing it to Dance? His mother passed from Cancer how the fukk is he supposed to recreate that? Son was probably going through the worst time of his life:comeon:. We were also younger the music hits you different when you are teenager. Again it's not about praising the new shyt you one of those nikkaz that love old Nas go listen to it

The type of dudes that Royce refers to aren't even real Nas fans. They speak on Nas with some sort of disdain. Just grumpy, dusty looking dudes. I can spot 'em a mile away. They always preface their comments by saying "I'm a Nas fan...". No you're not.

You ever hear dudes like R.A. the Rugged Child or Vinnie Paz speak on Nas? They despise him.
