He's got 30 years of great songs in his catalogue but I think Thun, Speechless and The Truth would crack my top 25. Don't Shoot, Rare, The Pressure, Nas Is Good, Once a Man, Twice a Child, Nobody, etc. would probably make the 50-100.

The Truth may be my favourite song from this run. Beat knocks like crazy then Nas just came in and destroyed it

This is very well said and he is literally the only MC to get that treatment.

I am massively enjoying this run and enjoying reading comments both positive and negative

But putting it in perspective if any of my favourite MCs came out now, consistently releasing music, sounding fresh as ever on the mic I would be in my element

A 5 album run from ghost or prodigy (rest in peace) if he was with us sounding like their prime. Or Imagine Cube doing this

Or imagine Ruck was here to do this, or DOOM ..revitalised sounding hungry still..dropping every few months and not slowing down

I didn't necessarily mean to name so many rappers who had passed away to make a point, its just a coincidence and a sad tale of the talent we lost, but it illustrates the point further still. This run is massively welcome and phenomenal from a legend like Nas and this massively outweighs any negatives

Magic 2 I've only had the chance to listen 2 2wice and I liked it, it's something different and I look forward to a solid sit with it. It's a strange release it seems like they were having fun but Nas is actually sounding pissed off at the same time. Slow it down is the first track in a while that raised the hair on the back of my neck

Ok I'm gonna go finish watching bloodsport I actually never saw this film before somehow.my creh JVD is on the balcony doing splits between 2 pillars looking out onto the city like he's about to release five albums back 2 back:heh:

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
The type of dudes that Royce refers to aren't even real Nas fans. They speak on Nas with some sort of disdain. Just grumpy, dusty looking dudes. I can spot 'em a mile away. They always preface their comments by saying "I'm a Nas fan...". No you're not.

You ever hear dudes like R.A. the Rugged Child or Vinnie Paz speak on Nas? They despise him.
It’s mostly bums too. That’s the funny shyt. lol. Misery loves company tho. These nikkas were fans of Illmatic and the idea of Nas. Not Nas. If u been mad at someone since 96. That’s 27 years. That’s not a fan. That’s a hater.
