After a few more listeMs some random thoughts…

-This def better than KD1

-The intro could’ve been scrapped. Unnecessary and adds very little

"Magic" Don Juan??! Nah, that fit. It sounds like that was just Magic's Hip Hop 50 segment that a lot of people have been doing and Nas just decided to put his on the album because of his name, lol. And because of what he was saying...like it or not (I hate it), he embodies that "rapper" lifestyle.

I like the album. It’s a solid effort it’s just that no song really caught me like that.

This is where I am at on this.

If my iPod is on shuffle, I’m more likely to skip a song on here than if I play it all the way through.

2nd half of Magic 2 is MILES ahead of the first half.

Maybe it’s also cuz Hit-Boy dropped 2 albums this year, but I’m overloaded with his beats this year, and a decent amount of it has been filler at best.

Office hours was fine, but like I said, I’m more likely to skip it if I’m not playing the album all the way through.

Played this at my BBQ last night. It's great as a straight background play-through. Very smooth like Beebop. I don't love Nas on a lot of the new flows, but the songs aren't awful.

After a few days to digest, it's a 4/5 to me.

They needed to leave 21 Savage off, drop a verse after the intro, and get 50 to redo his verse or replace him with Mega or Hav or any of the million other rappers from Queens

I’m shocked that there isn’t universal acclaim for this album. Every song is dope and the replay value is crazy. I don’t see how anyone could put this lower than 4 mics.

nikkas wanted it to sound more like the first Magic. That and u have the people who just don’t like anything Nas does with HitBoy.
