Note to self..

Which I already knew..

But this thread underlined it..

Never listen to the coli..

They say left.. go right lol..

This album is fukking fire!!

nikkaz really said they tired of Hitboy and Nasir..

Gtfoh an stay gone

We have an Alchemist/Illmatic coalition here that is making this unbearable at times.

They refuse to listen to the album with an open mind or respect Nas choice to work with Hit. Bless them though.

This shyt knocks in the whip like an muufukka and Nas floating on beats like wata. Like Wata.

Edit: And can we get away from ranking albums in the catalog hours and days after it drops. Give this shyt time to breathe.

Used my wife’s phone just to see what people were saying on Twitter and was surprised to see how well it’s being received :ohhh: Figured it would be more polarizing.

Finally finished the album.

Definitely like it.

Production cool.

Erving Johnson and the 21 Savage songs the only 2 I'm lukewarm about.

Nas kinda just on a laid back time with his subject matter.

It's basically:

*I'm a legend.
*I don't care what the critics say.
*I do rich shyt.
*I was on some street shyt that you don't know about back in the day.
*I coulda got you killed.

shyt cool but this the same shyt people (including me) bash Jay Z for.

Still a good album and better than all the KD 1 and 2
I like KD 3 a lil more.
Not sure yet if this better than Magic 1.

The reception is really great with every other group outside of the only boom bap or nothing group.

The difference is Nas dedicated full albums to different subject matter and has constantly push the boundary on talking about social issues. Jay hardly went that route. This is hardly comparable to what Jay z does when he does it.

Let's play a game, I hand you a King of Diamonds
The hand is faster than the eye, check your pocket
I snap my fingers, I'm UP IN SMOKE like The Chronic
Disappear then reappear right in front of your optics

He delivered that so fukking smooth.
From telling stories with his album covers to painting images like this in his rhymes, Nas is really a magician. There is something sinister that he was getting off in "Slow It Down". He shows you something, takes it away, leaving you like wtf. The whole song is a subliminal. The real ones know.

This is not true at all. For every Abracadabra or Thun, there is Pistols and Once a Man, Beef and Twice a Child.
