Ehhhh
I don't believe The artist himself is polarizing.
Too much success for that

But there's something to him being expected to carry the cross for REAL HIP HOP

Whatever tf that means

A burden his peers are allowed to escape

He's the one who declared that hip hop is dead... he put the burden on himself. lol

After a few listens some initial thoughts.

-Abracadabra is def the weakest intro they’ve done. Not bad by any means but they’ve done this type of track better in the past.

-50 sound so washed compared to Nas on “Office Hours”. You would think he’s on year 30. I appreciated the shyt talking but they should’ve asked him for a do over. Nas was killing the track and 50 just got outclassed.

- Motion is the first undeniable track on here. Perfect beat for Nas.

- Not feeling the EMJ. Think that beat just doesn’t fit Nas well.

-The hook on POYAC is why Nas is one of my favorite. Beat is dope too. It’s a great album closer.

- I’m impressed by the different vibes each album brings but if this is going to be the sequel to Magic the standard and bar is set high and it’s like they don’t reach those highs outside a couple songs. ((Motion,POTAC, Slow It Down)

-The OG Magic feels like they caught lightning in a bottle, I don’t think they’ll ever match that high imo

Schooling people takes forever; don't bother
50 really mailed that verse in.. 8 bars and a bunch of IG Live babble.
it was a set-up or a rookie mistake....hit-boy could have split the vocals....the verse from 50 could have ended and then joined back with the chorus, and then introduce the adlibs at the end and have Nas intertwine his adlibs back in like they are having a conversation...50 envisioned the collaboration one way and nobody in Hit-Boy's camp realized to move the adlibs to the back...whoever the engineers are don't listen to enough rap songs to realize to do this, smh

if that was his plan he should have did 16 bars instead of 8

Just like his wack ass musical opinions

Show us the haircut. If the consensus is it's fire....you got $100 coming to you via cash app .
Expeditiously

You're online offering your whole check from your food delivery job, to see other dudes' haircuts because they don’t like certain beats on a Nas album. Sit with that fact, and realize you need to be making better decisions with your life, fam.

Life doesn't have to be this hard for you. Make changes.

Can’t believe folks in frontin on Earvin Magic Johnson. That joint is dope.

breh you trippin, Nas was floating on that beat. He caught the bounce perfectly.

You're saying he caught it before Hit-Boy even bounced the beat? Took the hard way in this shyt, the only route for him?

That makes sense, outside of the fact that 50 did 8 bars instead of 16 to make that really work. Regardless just seemed like not enough time was spent to get it right. Apparently 50 didn't hear it in full until today either.
