He's the one who declared that hip hop is dead... he put the burden on himself. lol
Nah Nas been held to a higher standard his whole career. The “real hip hop” heads been crucifying him since IWW and then turn around and give Biggie and Jay mad props for doing the same shyt they hate on Nas for

I feel like I’m listening to a different album. The bars and flows are there. I think this is better then the first Magic imo.

Y’all are tripping that nas used some modern flows on a couple tracks but if you look at the lyrics he’s droppin gems. If this was anyone else y’all would be crowning em

That's because he actually did better... when an A+ potential student gets Bs-Fs it's more disappointing. Which is the problem with this project in particular... Is it terrible? no.... but it's C material after a B-,B+, and 2 As.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Supposed “real” hip hop fans don’t even like the shyt they PROCLAIM is real lmao or else Lost Tapes 2, Michael, Krs One’s album from last year, and Skyzoo’s All The Brilliant Things would be platinum albums and Break Beats with Premo and Nas would be a platinum single.

fukk outta here with that “real” Hip Hop shyt. So many artists have made good faith efforts in taking it back to the “essence” only to flop. Joey Badass put out a FANTASTIC album produced by Statik Selectah (a son of modern day Boom Bap if ever there was one) last year and it only sold about 20K first week. Just WHERE in Carmen Sandiego’s muthafukking WORLD are all of these “Real” Hip Hop fans?!?! Are they all broke? Can’t afford $9.99 for an iTunes download or too busy to stream an album a few times on their preloaded streaming platform?

Seems to ME that “real” Hip Hop fans only show up when its time to complain
The realest shyt u ever wrote.

Benny’s album is gonna really be telling in terms of the feelings people have about this Hit Boy vs Alchemist feel towards Nas going forward
They’re both producing on there

Al’s name comes up the most when talking about any Hit Boy fatigue

My counter has always been Hit’s diverse, he’s careful at sequencing shyt, for the most part got the pocket to try new things.

I also don’t know if one album where expectations were different means he feels they should stop or they just comeback harder

But as I always say to people: when Nas sounds re-energized some ppl very quickly want him to go off with their favorite producer and don’t consider maybe that other they don’t like is actually the dude responsible for how he’s rapping

I loved the hit boy run up until now... the last 3 were good/great albums...

Nas & Hit are 5/5.
NOPE .
As a major fan of the goat. Y'all gotta stop it man.

This album is mid on arrival.

I remember what is was like to be honest about the Nasir album as well while it was actually live streaming and I got attacked. It takes some Nas fans a while to be honest. This album is not it.
