You want the thread to be an echo chamber of nothing but compliments. It doesn't work that way. You don't need to fight for Nas' honor. He'll be alright if some of us don't feel this album.

Exactly. You gotta remember too, a lot of these dudes are scared to have their own opinions. There are actually threads on here where dudes are asking if it's okay for them not to like certain sh*t. Saying what they think people want them to say, is their way of seeking validation from the other usernames, lol. So that's why you always see sh*t like, 'Coli, do WE like this album?" They can't think for themselves, so when they see people who do, it makes them either upset or uncomfortable.

What they're not understanding, is that the real fans, are the ones who will be honest about sh*t. Because we have high expectations. We're not gonna just say whatever or front just to go along. All the day one Nas fans I've heard from about the album expected better. The standard is different for the day ones. That's usually how it goes.

Just finished the album. It's cool, but it doesn't beat the first Magic.

Yeah doesn't feel like Magic at all to me, that was a dark, underground, vintage Nas album. This one is a lot lighter.

"Office Hours" and "Motions" go hard off top. Really fukking with "What This All Really Means" as well.

Beatwise it feels like Hit may be spreading himself a bit thin as some.pf these are definitely a step down.

This is a summer album. No need for dark. All 5 albums sound different

Why would both Magics sound the same? lol. I will say this. Motion didn’t need a bass line. Just the flat drums sounded way better.
