That terrible feature hurts the song... worst feature of the whole KD series. I don't know how that's a plus.

Nas rapping and the beat save it. Plus I like 50’s shyt talking. Like I said of he didn’t rap and just played hype man its an easy 5/5 track. I don’t know WHY 50 thought he’d get away with rapping so pedestrian on a song with NAS of all people.

Man, I don’t know with some of y’all. I saw a post where dude didn’t like one track? Another dude said the 21 Savage track was the best one? What in the world lol.

I feel like some of y’all drop that ‘I love Nas’ and ‘Nas is my GOAT/in my T5’ before shytting on the album to try and trick us into thinking you’re sincere. I’m sorry, but I don’t see how any fan of Nas can be displeased with this project. Man is spittin’ flames, AGAIN. Outside of the Intro and bonus, 9 tracks and there’s atleast 6 (and that’s being conservative…honestly all 9 are fire to me) that if you’re not feeling, then why are you in this thread to begin with, cause you’re clearly not a Nas fan.

And the Hit-Boy hate is so expected and played out now, I wouldn’t be surprised if y’all had posts saved in Notes that you just copy and paste. We get it, you don’t like him. Guess what? Most of us do, and, more importantly, Nas does lol. So either move along already, or go ahead and get a bunch more pastas saved, cause he’s not going anywhere.

Salaam is dope, but by bottoming out, I mean Nas just dips. Salaam said he has like 60+ tracks that he did with Nas during the run that no one's heard, but Nas just wanted to try something else and he stopped working with him. So the music is just sitting.

As far as Hit, like someone else posted, his best sh*t with Nas is the music that other producers have come in and helped him with. I think he's decent, at times. But dope enough to oversee production on mad back to back Nas albums? Nah, lol. Nas is going to do what he wants, but he's turned down a lot of legends to do full-length albums with, to do them with Hit. That's wild.

I think a lot of times we don’t get full projects from other legends with him cause those guys don’t make the best use of time. Dr Dre we know will sit on it, Kanye committed producer malpractice with how he put Nasir last minute. And then there’s Preemo who I know people wanted him but as he got older he would be sloppy with deadlines (peep the story with how Nas is Like was last minute or how he wanted Nas to push HHID to the new year when he was asked to cook something). So I don’t know, I can sense already the discourse that’s gonna make Alchemist the new Premier :pachaha:and he’s the only one besides Hit knocking out these producer/artist albums

We’ll see what happens. I think Nas likes that Hit is younger and likes the modern stuff traditionalists don’t

One thing I will also say is some people are jumping the gun. They never liked that Nas linked with a producer who didn’t have an underground/NY pedigree like Hit and so the first sign of something that’s just okay have them abandoning everything.

Off first listen: this is an excellent album, which will probably rank lowest of the HB collabs for me.

That's more of a testament to how dope their run is, than a critique of this album. I really fukks with it.

I do understand the "rushed" comments, because this sounds, nah this IS, easily the least polished of the bunch. You can hear it in the mixing. I think this might be intentional though, to fit with the Magic theme (1 sounds way more polished, but the sound itself is more retro, this sounds experimental).

I love it though and we'll see where this fits in over time.
