If we rating the albums again here’s mine based on what I actually return to

5: Illmatic, IWW, Stillmatic, Lost Tapes, KD3 - each one of these I felt were flawless from the first time I heard them and still feel that way.

4.5: Distant Relatives, KD2 - near perfect albums I keep in rotation

4: Untitled, KD1, I am…, Nastradamus, God’s Son, QBs Finest - albums I enjoy and still go back to despite a couple flaws

3.5: LIG, Streets Disciple, LT2, The Firm - I don’t go back to these for the most part but think they have some good songs

3: HHID - a couple of good tracks but inconsistent

2.5: Nasir - I blame this on Kanye.
You left out Magic. Where would you place that?

KD trilogy thoughts

1. Nas and Hit should have ended it with an outro to the King’s Disease track that started it all. I’m hoping it’s not over and they will run it back for 4 and end out that outro.

2. Before the KD trilogy, Nas perfectly set up LT3 when he mentioned features. We’ve all heard that they withheld some features. I wonder how that might shake out.

3. If KD3 is truly the best album of the year on 22 and they are rightfully rewarded (Grammy), I wonder if they run it back for 4 of Magic 2.

4. I don’t see them doing anything else, title wise but at KD installment of Magic installment.

5. Nas sitting on so much unreleased music, it’s sickening. I was in the camp where I need to hear some new nasty Nas but I’m good now because whenever his old Sony stash is one day unearthed, I know he’ll have plenty of Nasty Nas in there.
1. I was thinking they should have used the same intro best from KD1 for the intro on KD2 and KD3 and he just keep trying to outdo himself nd spot crazier on each one

Nah Nas is good is easily the best outro, that’s a top 5 Nas song for me out of all the kds and Magic, a shame the video never came to fruition that song is low-key underrated.
I got Dedicated edging out Nas Is Good

Only cuz Nas Is Good sounds like it coulda been in the middle of the album.

Dedicated and Don’t Shoot sound like closers, and they hit heavy.

“Everybody's so quick to flip or say they with the shyts,
They go against someone look just like them
But when the enemy has government powers
They become cowards, they cut the tough guy shyt”

Ain’t that the goddamn truth:wow:

Nas is up there with Rakim, GZA, Black Thought, that actually mastered the art of lyricism.

"Nas Is Good" is crazy, but "Don't Shoot" is simply something else. Nas switching flows, the beat switch, and of course the lyrics and how it flows thematically from "Beef" put it over the top.
