SD was supposed to be a triple album but Sony wouldn’t allow it thats why songs like Serious, Good Morning, and Talk Of New York were removed

Just playing devil's advocate here, but I think Street's Disciple would have been worse if it was a triple album. Would have been too bloated and the really good tracks could just end up being one album. Even as a double album, Street's Disciple is bloated (the second half, mostly).

I can't think of a single major artist that's done a triple album. Not one. I know Michael Jackson originally wanted Bad to be a triple album, because he wrote 60 songs and recorded half of them, but Quincy Jones convinced him to just do one album.

Hassan Campbell, in front of like 9000 people on his live, said the album is an all time classic and everybody should be trying to make rap music like Nas does.

Hassan said it so it’s official now, issa classic. 😆

lol I gotta see this cause I know he was extra with it. Nas is probably the only successful rapper Hassan doesn't think is illuminati.

:dead: I'm picturing Hassan starting off the show holding a hatchet, with Magic and KD3 at the top corners of the screen.

Every single one fam. That is a strength of hit boy
Agreed but in another sense, I do take his point--with some of the beat switches you have two dope songs consolidated into one instead of the potential for two dope songs. "Dedicated" comes to mind--could've had Dedicated 1 and 2 back-to-back with 8 minutes of dopeness instead of 4. On the other hand, the song as is has incredible replay value.

They have incredible replay value exactly because they didn't do what you said which is standard. The rapid variation of the music is why this album is a fluid listen. Instead of your typical construct of 3.5 minutes of one beat and one particular flow you are getting variations but yet the narrative of the song is the same. So it's almost like different approaches. Works especially well on Michale and Quincy.

Albums strong point is it's fluidity. A feat at 17 songs. That's the last thing I'd give critical notes on.
