I feel like this is an excellent album, but it’s missing something that has been missing from the last 3-4 Nas albums. I’m not saying it takes away from the quality, but it would’ve been nice if Nas included a concept type track (I Gave You Power, Rewind, Book of Rhymes) or a storytelling track (Undying Love, Shootouts).

"Death Row East" for the story telling
"My Bible" for Concept

I had a feeling someone would pick those two songs, but it’s not the same. Also, Death Row East is a retelling of an event in his own life. It’s not a full narrative with a beginning, middle and end. DRE would be more like a chapter in a story.

U want something creatively conceptual. Nas is prolly in a different head space right now and it’s not like people really appreciated it as of late. Look at Lost Tapes 2. He had basically everything people been asking for on that album and still got shytted on. Lol. shyt even with this KD series I’m getting this narrative of people acting like he been spittin over some trash shyt 15 years before these albums dropped.

I loved Lost Tapes 2 :yeshrug:

I think some people were disappointed that some of his other unreleased joints weren’t included but I liked that album a lot.
By the way, I was nitpicking about KD2. I already said it’s an excellent album (even better than KD1 in my opinion), but if he had one of his patented conceptual or story telling tracks, it would’ve cemented it even further.

Nah I def understand how some Nas fans feel like it’s not complete Nas album unless these a crazy concept or storytelling track. It’s been his staple since Illmatic. Lol
