I could care less about dude. I said it then and I'll say it again. The REVIEW DOESN'T MATTER.

I didn't derail the thread. Posters continuing to post about dude and the review did that. What aren't you directing that same energy to THEM. I initially said the review didn't matter and posters continued to quote me on it. Call them out. Matter of fact, just move on from it altogether.
Other people are gonna call you out but you're right. Critics being cheerleaders for artists is a big reason why reviews don't matter as much - in the last decade, poptimism became big and all of the critics just dikkride the biggest artists because they want to keep their clicks. It's become a huge problem.

Around my way in Florida, Quiet Storm is a block of 70s to contemporary r&b that plays late night on the radio.

Just searched.

From Wiki

At least two non-commercial FM stations, the community-based WGDR in Plainfield, Vermont, and its sister station, WGDHin Hardwick, Vermont (both owned by Goddard College), have been broadcasting a weekly, two-hour "Quiet Storm" program since 1998—a 50-50 mix of smooth jazz and soft R&B, presented in "Triple-A" (Album Adult Alternative) style, with a strong emphasis on "B" and "C" album tracks that most commercial stations often ignore.

In 2007, Premiere Radio Networkslaunched a nationally syndicated nightly radio program based upon the quiet storm format, known as The Keith Sweat Hotel. That program, in edited form, broadcasts under the Quiet Storm name (as The Quiet Storm with Keith Sweat) on WBLS in New York City.[23]

Bro I was going back and fourth with Toure on Twitter one day. I was shocked how much he was hating on Nas and defending Jay. Especially considering he did that interview with Nas. People be coming out the woods to hate on Nas. This was some months back.

Wow i’ve seen him defend Nas on Vladtv

This arguing over reviews have ruined this thread over the past 3 days. SHUT THE fukk UP. Enjoy the art.
Seriously….I tried to tell folks to not give that pitchfork nikka any type of energy and attention…it’s gonna overshadow the album by only focusing on ratings and reviews.

As long as people enjoy the album and are happy with it then that’s all that matters. If Nas don’t give a fukk then why should we?

A reviewer never swayed my opinion on an album or an artist.

Im a die hard Nas fan myself but damn….it’s not that serious lol I only wanna discuss the music, not the other shyt.

Nah, I remember that in real time LOOOONG before I even knew Vlad was a thing, since like 2006 or so.

I had took a break from message boards around 2005 but before that, I was on these hiphop boards since nasbbs/early SOHH days and I never remember his beats being a topic outside of people wanting him to work primo, pete rock, and other similar producers.

It’s all opinions but you are flat out wrong. There’s nothing better about the first kings disease. Nas sounds way more polished on this. Better beat switches, better guest spots, better production, more concept tracks, better song writing, better hooks, better flows, better delivery etc. Honestly it’s not even close. One an appetizer, the other is the main course.

:yeshrug:
Yea, KD2 is definitely better production and KD1 had already great production. I think they had more time with it this time around. Also they sort of know how to work with each other more. More comfort level and trust. I also don't think this album is "CLASSIC". We use that far too loosely. There are only a few classics in this world. Albums that will keep getting played for all time. What albums do you still play that are 10, 20 years old? There's not many. The ones that are still played are the classics.
