Bro you typing paragraphs for nothing, people are allowed to not agree and criticise the review the same way the critic has a wrote a public review about a public album.

And so what if people make it personal the whole reason the review has been met with such damnation is because the reviewer himself made it personal so it’s all fair in love and war.

If people’s backlash means pitchfork will recruit reviewers who are more connected with the culture then that’s for the better, even better not review certain albums at all.

It is going beyond disagreeing and critique. When people are posting this dude's picture and ridiculing him, that's completely off base.

That backlash isn't going to change anything at Pitchfork.

he doesn't have an edge up at all his hair is natural. do you nikkaz thing about the shyt you advance into the world? Black natural hair is c00n shyt? :patrice:

go back couple decades and you would be calling Every Black man a c00n for not styling their hair and rocking natural fro:jbhmm:

This is far different from the backlash that Da Baby, Kevin Hart etc. have faced. All this dude did was tick off some of us who are fans of Nas's music. Review wasn't even offensive given that Pitchfork has done much worse i.e. that hack job of a review they gave Untitled.

And let's be honest, even glowing reviews for Nas are often littered with backhanded compliments. But because it is a glowing review, it never gets flagged.

They can post it if they want he put up there himself, that’s what you don’t seem to understand. If you’re whole profession relies on critiquing other greater people then you too open yourself up for critique, people only put his picture up to drum home the point of how much a cornball some of these nerd writers writing for rock publications are regardless of ethnicity.

They did the same for the cac who wrote an equally stupid review for Kings disease 1 and they both deserve it, don’t write about things you don’t have a great understanding off.

I'm not saying what they can/can't do. I'm just saying it's off base, corny, and childish to do it.

And again, people write about things they have no understanding of all the time. Most music critics have no understanding of the music they are reviewing outside of being an end user. And this dude's Pitchfork review was nowhere near the magnitude of clout chasing stupidity that the Rollingstone article for KD1 was. That Rollingstone writer bragged about reviewing what he called "the most woman hating album of the year", but KD was the antithesis of woman hating. He deserved what he got.

Breh you should be saying that to people who even started in the Pitchfork review in the first place. I NEVER said a word about until it was running rampant in the thread. All of my other posts were about the album. Have a nice day sir.

Bruh. Dude clearly went into the review with negative intentions from jump and wanted to stir controversy. He ended up getting the controversy he set out to get. The Pitchcfork and Rolling Stone last year same shyt to me. As far as people review things they don’t understand all the time. People def do that shyt. But when u do bad faith work for a professional publication. And don’t get penalized for it? Essentially ur not doing ur job. That type of shyt is bad for the culture. Same shyt with video games, movies etc etc. Opinions don’t gotta line up but people expect the review to be professional. Can we please drop this shyt now because this thread is being derailed by it and it’s goofy shyt. fukk that review. It don’t stop the show.
