Lol y’all was really waiting on that 8.6 Pitchfork review rating? :mjlol:

The same publication that gave OG The Lost Tapes a 6.9?:mjlol:

The same one that gives Kanye high scores for anything he shyts out? The Yeezus 9.5 score?:mjlol:

Same folks that gave Drogas Light a 7.4 rating and then turned around gave Drogas Wave a 6.2? :mjlol:

Y’all shoulda seen this coming. Y’all set yourselves up posting the critically acclaimed reviews. Nas has never been a critic or media darling

He has been crucified for classic top tier albums since 1996 lol

crazy thing is that is my least played song on that whole album bc of Em's cartoonish voice and cringey bars...that tells you what you need to know about this classic :wow:

Yeah...

Love Nas' verses and the beat is too hard. Also enjoy EPMD on it.

I think Eminem did as best as we can expect from him nowadays. I don't think he ruined the song, though I understand people who think he did.

My personal ratings after almost one week

Pressure 4.5/5
D.R.E 5/5
40 Side 4/5
EPMD2 3/5
Rare 5/5
YKTV 4/5
Store Run 5/5
Moments 5/5
Nobody 5/5
No Phony Love 3.5/5
Brunch on Sundays 4/5
Count me In 4/5
Composure 4.5/5
My Bible 4.5/5
Nas Is Good 5/5

Overall 4.5 mics

I think i enjoy this album more than LIG minus the bonus tracks. When counting in personal classics like Where is the love.... It probably gets different, cause Nas was flowing much sharper on there, but the overall impression i have of KD2 is stronger. With time, if it ends up in my book higher than LIG, that would mean to me that it's his best album since 2002, and that's an incredible feat regardless!

Metacritic has updated. After the Cacfork review KD2 is now at 88. Which is still the highest rap album of the year just not in the “All time”’rankings

Can't even be mad because everyone on Twitter vehemently disagrees with his bytch ass. An 88 is still incredible.

A 85+ score would be great. We just have to wait for other reviews to come in, every rating above 8 will be a step in the right direction and maybe it could even get to 90+.

good album but its weird hearing him say "respectfully" and hitting someone with the Zelle among other super current event type references throughout the album. some really strong material otherwise.

Rolling Stone will be a 3.5 I reckon. Don’t think they’d be as try hard as Pitchfork with the 6.2 even though they’re idiots too generally

that idiot from last year now left being a journalist
