HB and Nas pinnacle perfomance gotta be RARE..:wow:
That 1st beat....:damn: the flow:ohlawd:
the switch to the 2nd beat:banderas: *Bravehearts *bravehearts
The bass that kicks in just before the 2nd switch:damn::damn:
The 3rd beat:blessed:is tha victory lap :whew::salute:

from this track they could have 3 great tracks. This convinces me that they got some heat in the vault cooking
for next August (fingers crossed).

Hit-Boy you on some other sh*t
We on some other sh*t

Top 3 that I think is pretty much etched in stone for me:

Illmatic
It Was Written
Lost Tapes

Next two would be:

Stillmatic
God's Son

I'm :flabbynsick: so I'm not sure if a new album will fukk up my top 5. But Untitled, LIG, LT2, KD1 and KD2 are all excellent albums to me as well. Next would be I Am and SD, I might be the only person who has 0 issues with SD as it is. Next Nastradamus, HHID and Nasir - I like those albums but they're the only albums I rarely return to.

I think 90% of level headed Nas fans would agree with that top 5. And I'd put I Am 6th.

LIG & KD2 are neck and neck for me right now, gonna need some more time to sort those two out.

SD would've been such a dope album if you limit it to like 12 - 13 tracks

Me too and truth be told KD2 have a slight edge, because the Tracks on KD2 is stronger and I don't skip them there's tracks on LIG that I force myself to listen to

Facts. KD2 is a much easier listen. Tracks like Worlds An Addiction, SOS, and to some extent Accident Murderers really really hurt LIG and keep it from being flawless in my book.

Nas pen was a little bit sharper on LIG though.

I can't lie the more I listen to this the thing that stands out is Nas' content is a lot more shallow now. Most of the songs are bragging about money. Now Nas has always been one of the best at fly talk right from the beginning, but man it just sounds like damn near every verse is just money talk.

I'm not saying there isn't any other content beyond that but just feels like he has less to say. This feels closer to a 2000s era Jay-Z album.

And I get it, Nas seems legitmately happy and in a good place. He's not the same person he was in the past but I hold him up to a high standard and with all that's going on in the world and America you'd think he could do more than just rap about material shyt.

I still like the album but that hunger just isn't there from him anymore.

Tell me you didn't listen to the album without telling me you didn't listen to the album
