I love hearing Lauren's verse on this song and she still sounds great. But people are sleeping on Nas's verses here. Imo BOTH of his verses are doper than Lauren's.

I don't know where people are getting the ghostwriting thing from either. Not saying its impossible, but their verses don't have the same structure at all.

I hate to say it but it seems as if everyone is fishing for the "Nas got murdered" narrative, on this and EPMD2. I don't get it, but I'm just gonna keep enjoying the album :yeshrug:

I feel like Nas’ crazy flow and cadence is a response to the hate he got for Nasir; cats were shytting on him for being off beat most of the time

Replace SOS with ADULT FILM and LIG is a perfect album to me.

SOS ranks with the few Nas songs that are really just unredeemable to me (Big Girl, SOS..).

I won't pretend like YKTV and Spicy are genius tracks, but they bop enough for me to be very OK with them without it detracting from my score. If it was a 9 track project and they were included it would be a different story.

Joe reviewing KD 2 @1:35:26

I knew dude would throw some back-handed compliments in there. For him to say "we know this isn't the most lyrical Nas of the past..." was not only an unnecessary thing to say, but not even valid. This album shows Nas hasn't lost a lyrical step and it's definitely the dopest album of the year, lyrically (and musically). Then Joe erroneously or "confusingly" says "we all thought he was finished after Ether". He probably meant to say Takeover but these media dudes throw stuff into the airwaves to confuse the masses and push false narratives. I believe someone mentioned how they further go on to say Jay has a better Catalogue than Nas? Aside from being another falsehood, they just had to throw that in there in a segment they were supposed to dedicate to KD2. SMH

Joe budden pod got a history of this...they not gonna show love to Nas without someway making sure to put Jay above him in some way.

This nikka Ish left Nas out his top 10 and put Drake in :mjlol:
