And u gotta think it was like that before some of these nikkas legacies was fully laid out. nikkas was wildin over Fab bro. U couldn’t tell nikkas shyt about Fab at one point. And I fukked wit Fab too but nikkas was starting to treat the nikka like he was the next Jay. Lol

Thats why I said Life Is Good’s legacy needs to be protected at ALL costs. That album is a modern classic and had hella impact when it came out. It set the standard for middle age rappers to make “grown man” albums. Which is something he attempted to do with Streets Disciple but absolutely NAILED with LIG.
The song writing, flow, and execution are 100% top notch.
It should be a HUGE thing to say any post 2012 Nas album is ahead of LIG. I think Kings Disease Part 2 is better BUT I feel like it should be much much more of a debate and conversation.
Whenever someone says “This is Nas’s best album since Stillmatic” I know they haven’t actually LISTENED to a Nas album after Stillmatic because the disrespect Gods Son, Untitled, and Life Is Good gets is fukking crazy
Finally streamed it all. I was on my way to Aruba the morning it dropped but on the flight I couldn’t hear the beats as good as I wanted. Didn’t have my Beats headphones. Only the Beats ear joints. Preferred a good listening experience. Anyway, found some down time so I just heard the whole shyt. Dope AF!! No skips. L Boogie killed it, Em, even though he was super robotic and technical with his shyt was tight. Nas and hit on some other shyt. They getting back to back Grammys Joe!

That wasn’t just BK though I remember when Fab first came out nikkas was losing they shyt over him. I always liked Fab but I never got the reason why he was so hyped beyond him possessing a good amount of charisma. I never got “legend” vibes from him.
