He didnt say shyt negative about NasI would agree with this but if you consider Nas your peoples, you should never try to shyt on him in public
I have no problem with Pete Rock opinion but they way he said it, it just comes off salty that he hasn't produced a Nas album.
That's actually a really good tier list. It'd be very similar if not identical to mine.
That wasn't an opinion. That was hate and jealousy. Now dudes mad at Pete Rock for giving his opinion too
Dudes will be in threads all day giving they opinions on shyt they never done
But be mad at anyone that gives an opinion they dont like
It's his opinionThat wasn't an opinion. That was hate and jealousy.

I don’t see how cats is saying they don’t like 40 side. It’s like they not listening and fukk it, the beat ride
You 100% right and we know what the reaction would be immediately, 20 minutes after the album drops: "it's not as good as Illmatic. Sounds dated. Trying to recreate the past." It's impossible to satisfy these people when they're waiting to tell you that you failed. Nas could literally drop something better than Illmatic lyrically and beat wise, with the same producers...and there would be hate. Because the album would be competing with a period of time. 93/94, golden era, when all these 40-50yo dudes were still young and enjoying life with fewer responsibilities...you can't compete against the past.It would Nas’s biggest mistake in my opinion and i think he knows that
