I would agree with this but if you consider Nas your peoples, you should never try to shyt on him in public :yeshrug:

I have no problem with Pete Rock opinion but they way he said it, it just comes off salty that he hasn't produced a Nas album.
He didnt say shyt negative about Nas

Just about the production :manny:

He wrong to even put shyt out there on social media like he hating
But i don't see how people can be mad at the actual opinion tho

Hell i dont make beats nor rap and i still have my own opinions about what beats corny or fire
So an actual beat maker definitely will have opinions

Ain't no pity party for yourself
You gotta get up, rise for your wealth
Can't spend all that time in your feelings
Tryna sympathize with yourself (For real, for real)
Don't nobody owe you, ain't nobody holding you back (Woo)
You stuck in illusions
, attached to something that ain’t even that

Nas rhyming over Future adlibs is hard to me lol. Not quite as epic as Cant Me Nothing w/ Jeezy, but :whew: shyt hard.

40 Side
Store Run
Moments
Nobody
Composure

My top 5 right now...shyt will be different in like 2 days, but for now :wow:

It would Nas’s biggest mistake in my opinion and i think he knows that
You 100% right and we know what the reaction would be immediately, 20 minutes after the album drops: "it's not as good as Illmatic. Sounds dated. Trying to recreate the past." It's impossible to satisfy these people when they're waiting to tell you that you failed. Nas could literally drop something better than Illmatic lyrically and beat wise, with the same producers...and there would be hate. Because the album would be competing with a period of time. 93/94, golden era, when all these 40-50yo dudes were still young and enjoying life with fewer responsibilities...you can't compete against the past.

Pete is still dope and yes I would like to see another collab...but I don't need an album of Illmatic producers. Give me a couple Premo beats and Pete...maybe Large Pro. And then the rest of the placements go to Hit Boy, Just Blaze, whoever.
