Ain't no pity party for yourself
You gotta get up, rise for your wealth
Can't spend all that time in your feelings
Tryna sympathize with yourself (For real, for real)
Don't nobody owe you, ain't nobody holding you back (Woo)
You stuck in illusions
, attached to something that ain’t even that

fukked up part is Pete had a more recent Nas placement than Premo and u don’t see Premo on that bullshyt. Now nikkas understand Nas keeps certain nikkas separate for a reason. As for Pete. He vibe wit Hit Boy more than he do wit u nikka. Get over it! U can’t even make amends with fukking CL Smooth. Talkin shyt.

Its absurd. The man you made CLASSICS with wants absolutely nothing to do with you but somehow Nas is supposed to put up with your bytch nikka tendencies to do a full album:gucci:

Just like 9th talking all that shyt about Nas and how he can make a real Nas classic but the nikkas you literally came in the game with don’t want NOTHING to do with you or your beats.

fukk outta here. nikkas actually think because they made ONE classic song with a nikka 30 years ago that he owes them lifetime album placements. :scust:

Pete says and posts a lot of wild stuff on social media, that's why I stopped following him years ago. I get why a purist (digging in the crates, samples, etc) would feel some type of way about modern sample-less beats. But listen to Nobody...it literally sounds like a modern take on Pete's Respiration remix (Blackstar). Store Run is the type of shyt these same old heads would say is "restoring the feeling" if it was on a Griselda or Ross album. MY BIBLE sounds like a Just Blaze track...hell it reminds me of Lord Knows, ie one of the few Drake songs "old heads" fukk with, beat wise.
:gucci:

I wanna give Pete the benefit of the doubt since he wasn't directly hating with names but man, it sure sounds like he's saying he don't fukk with it. Meanwhile Premo, Alch, Statik, etc have all dapped Nas/Hit Boy this weekend. Large Professor did a DJ set at a Sweet Chick restaurant this weekend. I dunno what Pete talking about especially since he got two placements RECENTLY on a Nas album.

Now dudes mad at Pete Rock for giving his opinion too:deadmanny:

Dudes will be in threads all day giving they opinions on shyt they never done

But be mad at anyone that gives an opinion they dont like:bryan:

I would agree with this but if you consider Nas your peoples, you should never try to shyt on him in public :yeshrug:

I have no problem with Pete Rock opinion but they way he said it, it just comes off salty that he hasn't produced a Nas album.

The thing with Pete isn’t that he can’t have an opinion, it’s that he been basically saying the same shyt about every Nas album since IWW. Saying how Nas needs to get the illmatic producers back (which basically means himself since Nas has been cool with and worked with all the other illmatic producers). Pete’s comments aren’t new, it’s expected at this point.
