OMG nobody is fukking amazing damn near sounds like 9th Wonder or one of those Little Brother producers were on the beat….damn this shyt is hard.
Yup it sounds like the type of shyt “underground” heads wanted Nas to rap on for years. Reminds me of Momma off TPAB, with Lalah Hathaway’s vocals weaving in and out.

Took this nikka 30 years to realize hot beats matter and it wasnt a moment too soon. Album fire.

Salute Nas!

He was probably in the studio with Jungle and some QB dudes for 30 years telling him that them beats and shyt was fire tho, lol, can't overlook that...

Now he has a legitimate musical genius in Hitboy in there with him for the entire creating process meticulously crafting and orchestrating things musically for him, all he has to do really is what he is known for, come with the lyrics. Not to mention their musical chemistry is perfection.

The only bad thing is I just wish he met Hitboy a long time ago, :ohhh:

I haven’t been posted in The Booth in years but I had to throw my hat in the ring...

King’s Disease II: I’m not being a hypebeast with what I’m about to say:

Nas could legit win Album and Record of the year with this joint. It’s virtually flawless. No BS.

It’s sad to say but I was waiting for, in typical Nas fashion, to “phone in” a verse or two around the third or fourth song, drop a couple of dope cuts, an iffy joint, and then finish strong.

That “Moment” never happened. The gems on EVERY SONG, the introspection, the HONESTY, the story telling, the fly shyt, the boss talk, the education. Breh.

He wrote every line with absolute intention. Again, he didn’t “phone in” on a single track.

This album is truly for mature adults only and it’s a Hip Hop masterclass.

Well done, Nasir Jones. This one will never leave my rotation.

Sidenote:

Jay X Ye
Curren$y X Alchemist
Nas X Hitboy
The Clipse X Neptune’s
Freddie Gibbs X Mad Lib

These tandems are undefeated. No argument needed because it would be futile.

One of the most underrated aspects of Nas is how he delivers his rhymes. Aside from the imagery in his rhymes, his delivery makes him unique. On KLD2 his delivery is different on every track, almost. And they all sound dope!

He'll deliver a rhyme and you'll be like "yeah only Nas can deliver that rhyme that way". It's part of what makes him Nas. It's amazing.
