The hell are you talking about? No one is holding him back. The MTV Awards was in September. Does it look like that picture is from that month? No one's wearing leather jackets when it's still hot out.

When was Queens shook of Pac or Death Row? CNN dropped LA, LA. Mobb Deep went at Pac directly on Drop a Gem. Chris Lighty isn't from Queens but he backed down Suge face to face in NY and went to his office in LA and dealt with him on business.

Luke ran Death Row out of Miami.

Death Row wasn't bullying anyone who was willing to fight back.

The fukking caption on jungle post says “when jungle told Pac it’s on” it’s clearly trying to portray it’s from that nite. Hence why I said FANTASISE SHYT.

Write as many little lists as you want to breh, Deathrow was running shyt in 96 wether you can admit it or not

Do they automatically put the producer in every writing credit? He’s listed on every song.

the producer is credited as writer because they wrote the music. that's why if there's a sample that's been cleared then the writers of that song will be credited as a writer in the new song too.

The Pressure:

I'm convinced Nas always throws out subluminals in all of his intros

but the "God Son Across the Belly" made me really question potential subs

Jay-z?

I ain’t made ‘til we all can say that we made it
Been down with the hustle so long feel like we’re related
Take my word like you would from the book of Revelations
Dead presidents, that shyt come when you dedicated
I invеst in education ’cause we wasn’t privy
Wе got busy, put scholarship programs throughout the city
Jefe, did it my way, chairman of the committee

am I reaching?

:manny:
Not sure I'd look at it as subliminal shots, but if you squint hard enough you can see references/shout outs to some of his songs.

I Made It, Can't Knock the Hustle, Dead Presidents II, I Did It My Way

Might be the first time I cant pinpoint my favorite records off a Nas project. A testament to this as a complete body of work. Amazing

... and some dudes were crowning Jada KONY because he had a good performance. :mjlol:

We tried to explain to them the levels :manny: no slight to Kiss, cause breh is amazing. Then a few days later Nas drops his 5th classic, when other nikkas dont even got 1 in their catalogue? Cant compare NOBODY to Nas now.

Illmatic
IWW
Lost Tapes
Stillmatic
KD2

Take away the classics, nikkas wish they had Nas' 2nd tier discography.

Untitled
LIG
God's Son
DR

Moments is one of the greatest songs in Nas' catalogue. The inspirational lyrics, the instrumental and the arrangement of the song. It just all comes together so beautifully. I'm listening to this shyt and just smiling man

The constant build up on this track is so beautiful, the music is just so amazing when the horns and adlibs come thru :wow: Song could have went on for 10 minutes

My mind is still blown that we get another Nas/Lauryn Hill collaboration 25 years later, and for it to be THIS dope. Makes me feel blessed to be in this timeline.

And Hit-Boy hit this one out of the atmosphere on the production. Giving me The Worlds Is Yours mixed with late 90s neo soul vibes. Everything about the track is perfection for me.
