Been listening to this album non-stop since yesterday and its fukking flames. The length of the tracks, the subject matter the beats, the beat switches, the grown NaS rhymes, the features all brought the heat. The Goat has cemented his legacy more than it already was and Hit Boy is on fire.

This is exactly the type of album you want to hear from a vet at this stage of their career. No nonsense, true to themselves while still being fresh and not dated. Couldn’t really ask for more.

Dope post but I do think you went a little hard on some of those other producers. I think Primo, Pete, Large Pro, and Al are all really dope in 2021 still. Just not the best fit for a full Nas project.

And I don’t think there was anything wrong with fans saying what they’d have liked at the time.

True I think Pete Rock (Retropolitan), ALC (Alfredo&TPOTIC) and Madlib (Bandana) have dropped stellar projects recently. I ouldnt mind a Nas project with either of hose guys. I do however fell they probably couldn’t give Nas this variety. Hit-Boy managed to give Nas west coast beat, dilla style beat, organize noize type beat, Kanye type beat, a Pete rock type beat and even a cardo type beat and all with high marks.
