The good thing with Erick and Parrish was their flows were already :flabbynsick: even in their prime so they sound like they never missed a beat :pachaha:
:dead:

They got L-Boogie on here???????
I'm glad I didn't look at the tracklist or read this thread before listening. Lauryn showing was a hell of a surprise.

I don’t want to gives hot take, but on my4th listen with a sober mind, this is a great album. They opened with some swagged out songs on trap beats and Nas talking his shyt, then close out with some very deep songs over very soulful production.

Perfect balance.

Budgie is pretty dope. That's wild I didn't know any of that about him and Kanye
Hes ill, has a great talent of putting together soulful and nice vibes with or without samples, hes dope.

I decided to run some research on him because anyone from the UK making it now is either doing Drill or caping for whatever is hot. Budgie the one guy who came out and said nah I'm making what I think is ill, which is the soulful hip hop shyt that originated in the US, makes sense why he works there now. But I thought he was a great example of .. you can be there at the right time and all of a sudden be a grammy award winning producer.

Hitboy did it all on his own accord, thats amazing.

My bruhs......this album is WAY better than KD1........Store Run, Moments, Nas is Good, Rare, is my shyt......that soulful storytelling is when Nas is at his best.....

Coulda did w/o the Em verse on EPMD 2 and that YKTV track but other than that this album is :whew:

Also, Death Row East is just a dope story track.....anyone catch the reference of Nas basically exonerating Stretch of any involvement in the setup and the Quad city studio shooting? I always knew Stretch wasn't involved bc that was Pac's right hand man......that was a time when Pac was gettin extra paranoid around his homies.... Stretch was a real one though, he was murdered a year later in Queens in a high speed chase with like 5 bricks in his car. If you Google it there's actually a New York Times archived article about it.

Btw, I didn't know Eric B (of Eric B and Rakim) was in the Death row East management or with them......that was a surprise when Nas mentioned his name...thought he was talkin bout Lake.......Nas also mentions Preem.....does he mean Dj premier?
