Overall a great album. I enjoyed it more on first couple of listens than I did KD1.
Highlights:
*THE pressure- was great, very introspective track to kick it off, love the beat
*DR east- love him telling the story of that infamous night and once again showing love to another guy on that Mt. Rushmore(PAC)
*40 side- love the beat and how he switched his flow
*Rare- probably my favorite on the album right now, love the beat switch
*Nobody- I was expecting Lauryn to sing or something, but she came out spiting like I never heard her rhyme before, she got it off her chest!!!!
* Composure- Hitboy came correct with the flow, beat is dope
LOWS:
*EPMD- Didn't like anything about the track, once again I think eminem was doing too much on this track, less is more
* Store Run- LOVED that track until the last 30 secs, I'm sorry I cringe with any BLACK person says "stop asian hate", and then correlated that with Tyga's mom. That track became a turnoff
*YKTV- guess that is supposed to be like spicy, its not a bad track, just average
Overall I give this album 4 1/2 stars, if someone says its a "classic" i wont argue, Nas will be 48 next month, still going strong and still CLEARLY better than everyone out. He's running victory laps on the guys from his era (raekwon, jay z, scarface, cube) and I don't see newer artists like Kendrick, Cole putting out this high level of creativity and song writing skills. Its clear to see NAS is the GOAT, hard to dispute that when you see a guy with 14+ albums, at this advanced age and still has EVERY RAPPER dead or alive in his rearview...
