Yep he had little to no influence how dare he tell the GOAT producer to change the beat to GOAT Nas song:stopitslime: btw the original version

let's say Nas was right:mjlol:

Nas was the one who convince Pete Rock and q tip to sing their hooks. He also picked one of the sample of NY State of mind along with primo.

People that are overcritisizing nas are people that don't listen to him like that. And people especially in hip hop only judge album by album and not a body of work. Nas have so many unreleased gems and great features it's not even funny. You can see who's who in live concert. Nas can pull off 2 or 3 liveset and it will be full of hip hop classics. Not everybody can do that

Good point. Take Nas top 50 tracks and top 10 guest spots. Very few can compete and even be in that conversation.

Just checking in.

Album still fire. New lines stand out daily.

Shirley Chisholm wouldnt have played the victim/Ertha Kitt would a been finished with them:whew:

I love the theme. What it means to be a king, what comes with it, and how to overstep it.

First Nas album I bought was IWW when I was like 15. 22 years later (damn near 27 summers) the man is still making fire like this. Crazy

Can't remember last time I played an album this much.
Sipping Akaline water as we speak. :ahh:

I've been listening to the album daily on repeat, some tried and true real hip hop shyt.

Blue Benz, The Cure (when that beat drops), 27 Summers, 10 Points, Spicy, Replace Me.....all fire.

Continually unearthing hidden gems. Been stuck on the line about how it's better to be alone than wishing you were alone in Replace Me due to some personal shyt (salute to the GMB brigade) I'm going thru.

Only complaint I have is son dropped the worst butter they offer at Sweet Chick in his verse on Spicy. The lemon and garlic and herb are both superior butters to that raspberry one. :ahh:
