The Firm album was Nas worst lyrical performance...

My guy said "Catch a hommo, guns long like Mutumbo" Lol, shyt sound like Nore was writing for him.

He got off tho on "Firm Fiasco", stole the show to me. AZ was talking some lowkey gibberish on there,. But yeah, lyrically the album is probably the worst you will ever hear Nas...and he wasn't bad

don’t know how you rank lost tapes 2 that low. I swear so many people are sleeping on that. Has a few weak cuts but also has some peak level Nas shyt on there. Definitely better then nastradamus and HHID

LT2 is a top 5 Nas album. And I'm very critical of Nas albums as a whole, but too many great songs on LT2 for people to think it's not one of his better works.

I don't see how you can argue this when Illmatic, IWW, Stillmatic, LT1, and LIG exist. It doesn't come close to any of those albums and includes multiple tracks that weren't even completed.

Not happening...Nas doesn't own his music from that time, they are forever stuck in the Sony record label vault...

He should buy it or Nas stans should or both of them should.

Lost Tapes was a huge success. it baffles me why there hasn't been proper sequels.

Who benfits from leaving so many classic tracks stuck in a fukking basement? :why:

Classics are made in time not upon drop.

The definition of classic is judged over a period of time to be of high quality.

Reasonable Doubt is the definition of classic.

Vol. 2 dropped only 2 years after stop it lol.

Illmatic was an instant classic. So was Ready to Die, All Eyez on me, 36 Chambers, Midnight Marauders. I’m old enough to live it in realtime. I was in High School in Brooklyn during 96-98. I know the word at that moment. Any other time i was either too young or too old and disconnected. But those years, you can’t tell me nothing about music and what we talked about and listened to daily.

Jay was good but not at that level. I love Jigga though. He is absolutely relentless and willed himself into legendary status. But he didnt have the glow about him right away. Wu had the glow, Pac was the brightest glow, Biggie had it but not as bright but his color was the nicest.

Here's how Nas discography works:

Consensus Classics:
Illmatic
It Was Written
Stillmatic
The Lost Tapes

Great Albums
God'Son
Life Is Good
I AM

Good Albums
Untitled

Had Some Good Songs, but fairly mediocre
Hip Hop is Dead
Street's Disciple
Nastradamus

Not Good...
NASIR.
Lost Tapes 2

Switch I Am with Untitled and Nastradamus with LT2 and that looks like my list.

Nasir almost deserves an N/A rating. That was just strange. Just a strange, strange summer. There's nothing offensive about it on the surface. Its like its not even his album.

Lost Tapes 2 is good, don't know why people don't feel it.

The ideas even within the individual songs dont mesh. Certain tracks had a place on albums, such as Vernon Family on HHID, or Who are You on Untitled, or Lost Freestyle anywhere. But its truly a collection of unfinished ideas, meant for the hard-core fans

I'll take NaStradamus over Nasir any day.

I give King's Disease 3 mics. It's just ok to me.
I'll take Lost Tapes 2 over it.
LT2 is my favorite outta Nasir & King's Disease.

Now. Im ready for next one.
Hopefully Nas drops is this fall or winter
