How is that funny?

Few if any songs off any of them albums is better than any of the top 5 Nastradamus tracks.

Life We Chose
Project Windows
Last Words
Come Get Me
Family

Nas is the GOAT, I respect his entire catalogue but this is a fact.
But that’s not how albums are evaluated though :dahell:

that period 98 99 was probably nas at his best pen wise, he was already impressive before that, on illmatic it was his rhyming skills, on iww it was his storytelling ability, on iam/nastradamus it was his introspective skills that stood out the most
I agree with you that Nas was in the zone in 98-99 and through the time of the Stillmatic sessions. But Nastradamus was Nas’ worst performance rhyme wise on an album.

Me too. But that’s not how I would describe Nastradamus vs LIG or LT2 or KD.

Fair enough, agree to disgree.

Street's Disiple, HHID and Distant Relatives are better than them 3 albums btw..

His flow was still immaculate during this period.

He got old I don't blame him, much success to him in the corporate world. :salute:

Hopefully the secret album is Lost Tapes 3 with all tracks recoreded bwtween 1999- 2006.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Nas stans need to get together and pledge money to something like that.

That shyt would sell more than 35K in its first week.

Here's how Nas discography works:

Consensus Classics:
Illmatic
It Was Written
Stillmatic
The Lost Tapes

Great Albums
God'Son
Life Is Good
I AM

Good Albums
Untitled

Had Some Good Songs, but fairly mediocre
Hip Hop is Dead
Street's Disciple
Nastradamus

Not Good...
NASIR.
Lost Tapes 2

don’t know how you rank lost tapes 2 that low. I swear so many people are sleeping on that. Has a few weak cuts but also has some peak level Nas shyt on there. Definitely better then nastradamus and HHID

I Am is a really hard album to listen to because it was supposed to be a lot better than what it was. You hear glimpses of it, but when you're done, you realize that Nas was robbed of a third straight classic and a GOAT contender. :mjcry:

The only album that could have topped Illmatic. :mjcry:
Man I am has some really strong songs. It really only has 3 skips for me. It was my first introduction to nas though, so maybe that's why. When I heard New York state of mind pt 2 and small world he was immediately my favorite.

Not happening...Nas doesn't own his music from that time, they are forever stuck in the Sony record label vault...

Car 85 is the best song to ride to on a rainy night:ahh:

For non New Yorkers, it’s basically an ode to your first whip. Never forget the good times in my yellow mustard Mazda 626 with the house speaker in the trunk going to the weed trap with the homies and just riding out.
